A common question we often get is, what does it take to become a member and are there any requirements?
To become a member, please fill out this form attached at the bottom. Dues are $10 per year for individuals or $100 for a lifetime membership that includes your spouse.
As a member there are no requirements, aside from paying any yearly dues. Our members are members because they want to be, and that is why we are a success!
The society is open to all who are interested in history, preservation, education, and genealogy. The main emphasis is on the history and genealogy of the city of Markesan and the surrounding area. You need not be a trained historian, only to be interested in it. We like our members to be active in the running of the society. If you would like to help support the society with your talents, we are more than happy to take whatever help you may give.
We also hold monthly meetings from April through October. No one is required to attend. These meetings help direct the society. We also have a presentation every meeting. So be sure to come and learn a thing or two!
