Last night, we ended up with some unexpected guests due to the storm. ❄️ This morning, one of them caught me immediately as I came into the breakfast area, with a serious look on her face. My heart started beating a little faster as I greeted her by asking how their night was, scanning her partner for any signs of concern. She said, "I have to tell you, my entire life, I have never slept so well away from home. The accommodations are so comfortable!" 🥰

Needless to say, an excellent way to start the day. Grateful today and every day for our guests and clients who count on us to take good care of their every need!

Last week, we had Chef Sebastian Pham of Hand Held Food Co. out to the Villa for a private dinner. We are thinking of hosting more of these types of dinner events, and would love your feedback and ideas! Please drop a comment below...

🦃 Coming home for the holidays, but could use a little more space? ❄️Grandma's house getting a little crowded? Our 5 guest rooms DO NOT feature: scary dolls from your childhood, a box your mom would like you to go through, shared rooms with your cousins (unless you want to). Make sure you have an escape when your Aunt asks when you're going to be married for the third time. Happy Holidays ♥

Another finished project coming together. Every piece was hand placed, and so worth it! Loving the elevated chandelier in our formal dining room, which now matches several other crystal light fixtures throughout the Villa.

Just an observation over the last several years here at the Villa… every successful event has 3 elements: food, flowers and togetherness.

🧁Food - invites your guests to stay a while. Have a variety for them to try something new or find comfort in an old favorite.

🌸 Flowers - because nature is good for your soul. They can bring in any color palette and soften a space.

❤️ Your People - having reasons to celebrate and get together is a gift. By throwing a shower, dinner or birthday gathering you are keeping connections to those you love. Don’t wait for something “big,” there’s always a reason to be grateful in your season of life.
