🚗 Parking Information for Sky High Expo 🚗

We’re just 9 days out from the big weekend, so let’s talk about parking! To make your arrival smooth and stress-free, we have two parking lots, both with entrances located on Airport Rd.

🔸 Yellow Lot – Primary General Admission Parking

This is the default parking lot for all guests with a standard admission ticket.

Look for the green feather flag marked “ENTRANCE.”

🟪 Purple Lot – Special Access Only

Reserved for: VIP guests, performer vehicles, handicap parking (with valid placard), volunteers & staff, and public safety vehicles.

You must have the correct parking permit, handicap placard, or be in a marked public safety vehicle to enter.

Volunteers will be stationed at the entrance to check permits and credentials.

Look for the purple feather flag.

👉 Pro Tip: The feather flag colors are your first identifier that you’re at the correct entrance. If you don’t see the right flag color, you’re probably in the wrong lot.

✈️ Want to do more than just watch the show? How about climbing into the cockpit yourself?

At the Sky High Expo, you can experience the sky from the inside with a variety of aircraft ride opportunities! 🚁🛩️

Here’s just a taste of what’s waiting for you:

🚁 UH-1H Huey – Feel the thump of history with the Friends of Army Aviation.

🚁 Robinson R-44 – A smooth, scenic helicopter ride.

✈️ T-6 Texan – A WWII-era trainer that’s all about classic aviation power.

✈️ Pitts S-2B – Strap in tight for an aerobatic thrill ride like no other.

Airshows are LOUD. That’s part of the thrill—the rumble in your chest, the roar overhead, the engines that make your jaw drop. And with the USAF Viper Demo Team now joining us, let’s just say it’s going to be cranked up even higher. 🔊✈️🔥

If you’ve got kids coming with you (or even if you’re just bringing your own two ears), please make sure you’ve got ear protection. Foam plugs, over-the-ear muffs, whatever works best for you. We want the memories from this weekend to be about the flying, the speed, and the fun—not ringing ears the next day.

🚀 Your Weekend Game Plan: What’s Happening Each Day
Saturday, September 6

Gates Open: 9:00 AM

Fly-In Arrivals (Pilots): Airfield opens to GA at 7:00 AM and remains open until 2:00 PM, when the TFR begins. ✈️ (Pilots—once the field closes for the Night Show, no departures until 7:00 AM Sunday.)

Airshow Flying: ~3:30 PM start

Evening Break: 1-hour pause between day flying and the Night Show to allow visiting aircraft to depart if needed.

Night Show: Lights up the sky after sunset 🌙🔥

Gates Close: 8:30 PM

🎟️ For Attendees:

Rides available all day (outside of airshow flying): car rides, helicopter rides, and airplane rides.

Static Aircraft Displays: Warbirds, vintage airplanes, and modern military aircraft parked on the ramp all day.

The lineup changes daily—grab a weekend pass so you don’t miss a thing!

Sunday, September 7

Gates Open: 9:00 AM

Fly-In Arrivals (Pilots): Airfield opens to GA at 7:00 AM and closes at 12:00 PM for the airshow.

Airshow Flying: ~1:00 PM – ~5:00 PM

Departures: Airspace reopens immediately after the show.

Gates Close: 6:00 PM

🛩️ Pilot Info – Sky High Expo Arrivals & Field Notes 🛩️

We’re just a couple weeks out, and we’re looking forward to welcoming pilots flying in for the Sky High Aerospace Expo & Fly-In! Here are a few important details to help with your planning:

📆 Arrival Times
We can accept aircraft arrivals as early as Thursday, Sept 4th.

✈️ Parking & Equipment Requirements

Hard-stand / Concrete Parking (Non-Camping):
Please bring wheel chocks. All aircraft parked on concrete must be chocked—at least one wheel must be secured.

Grass Parking / Camping:
All aircraft parked on grass must be tied down—no exceptions. If you are camping with your aircraft, you must bring your own tiedowns.

⛺ Camping Info
Camping on the field is completely free up until Saturday night. A camping fee will only apply for Saturday night camping.

📄 Parking Sign Reminder
To help our ground crew get you parked quickly, please visit the website and print out the parking sign for the option you’re requesting. Display this sign on arrival for smooth handling.

✈️ Arrival Procedures
For everyone’s safety, please review and follow the posted arrival procedures before flying in. These step-by-step instructions include altitudes and visual landmark references to ensure smooth, safe operations into the field.

🚨 Check-In Procedures – What to Expect at the Gate 🚨

🎟️ Already Purchased Your Ticket?
Have your QR code ready from your confirmation email (either printed or pulled up on your phone). Our team will scan it, verify your ticket and add-ons, and give you your wristband. ✅

💳 Planning to Purchase at the Event?
Save time by purchasing online! As you approach the gate, you’ll see signs with QR codes—scan one with your phone to go straight to the ticket page.
Prefer cash? You’ll be directed to our on-site ticket seller who can help you complete your purchase.

👉 Once your ticket is purchased and verified, you’ll receive your wristband that grants you access to the event (and any add-ons you selected).

⚠️ Important: Wristbands must be worn at all times while at Sky High. They are your official pass to all authorized areas. Removing or not wearing your wristband may result in removal from the event.
