On LABN we don’t aim to focus on lyrical recognition in our learning. Everyone loves it though including us. We seek to break fresh music out and let the sound in. This helps to uncover a new way to put sounds together when you study the words to the song.
There are many masters of the lyrical side that we greatly respect as legends…. Heroes even.

Wordplay has been bubbling since Way way back when Mike Mo was creating a legacy of Jedis behind him to when Lil Tero was a young prodigy to and at UDIG on Lamar to joining along the way to and the wordplay blossomed and evolved. Many more did paved the way too.
But not without transformations of those lyrical combos with sound. Learn how to use the beat before you decide to start making up wordplay off the dome. All your moves will look different.

If you want to master Jookin rhythm and basic foundations to get right come over here and study with DxP. There is no bad question and no wrong answer.

Find the rhythm. Create the time signatures you want and make it happen where the beat applies. It’s light but it’s right. You control what the audience is able to pay attention in a beat. Make it loud!
