Please help me welcome Honoree #2 to the 2024 Class of the Influential 20, Chism-Landfair Re-Chandra!
Re-Chandra Chism-Landfair is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kingdom Hearts Enrichment Center, a safe haven for children to learn, dream, and believe. She is also the CEO and executive director of The Learning Journey Academy, which was founded in 2018. This year, Re-Chandra will celebrate twenty years as an entrepreneur, and thirty years in the early childhood education industry. Coming from a lineage of entrepreneurs, Re-Chandra continues to push herself and conquer each goal in life. In addition to Kingdom Hearts Enrichment Center and The Learning Journey Academy, she is also the Founder of Augusta Cares.
With Augusta Cares, Re-Chandra is dedicated to the community by providing an opportunity for individuals and families to “GET UP & GROW”. Augusta Cares was inspired by the works of her mother, Augusta Dennis Chism. She believed in obtaining a quality education, enjoying enriching family experiences, and achieving excellence in business. Augusta Cares serves the community by upholding the core values of integrity and transparency with a focus on families, education, business and leadership.
Mrs. Landfair believes in building generational wealth. She fervently supports and encourages her children’s entrepreneurial efforts which include: Kings’ Kitchen Food Truck and Catering, The Buckland Manor Event Venue, and Journey’s Girltique children’s clothing boutique.
Re-Chandra is a proud member of Pursuit of God Church under the leadership of Pastors Ricky and Sheila Floyd. She serves in the Music Ministry as a Praise Team Member. She is a Business and Finance Instructor for the training module “I Am Your Can OPENED”. She has served in several other capacities to build and uplift the Kingdom of God.
She is undoubtedly a woman of many gifts, talents, and titles. However, her greatest titles are “loving wife” to Jim Clifton Landfair, III and “proud mother” of Jim Clifton, IV (“JC”) (19), Jordan Christopher (15), and Journey Calista (5).
Re-Chandra is a proud graduate of Whitehaven High School, class of 1996, and The University of Memphis 2021, with a Bachelor of Liberal Studies with concentrations in Early Childhood Education and Business Administration. She also holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification from the Council for Professional Recognition, and a plethora of other credentials, awards, and certificates. Currently, Re-Chandra is pursuing a doctorate degree and writing children’s books.
She stands firmly on the scripture, Ecclesiastes 9:11- The race is not given to the swift nor to the strong, but to the one who endures to the end.
Mrs. Landfair's unwavering determination drives her to fulfill her mission of service, even in the face of innumerable accolades. She continues to serve her purpose with unyielding commitment since there are countless prospects for growth and fulfillment down the line.
