The Expo Building looks much different today than this time last week.
But we love seeing the locals setting up for the Preble County Business Expo.
An Expo is the place to show people something they can’t see anywhere else.
And once a year, people can count on you knocking their socks off.

The 2024 Demo Derby Expo has came - delivered - and gone.
What a killer day in Eaton, Ohio we had!

Thank you to our exhibitors - - our presenters - our staff - our food vendors - our equipment operators - our safety crews - our mentors - our drivers - and our attendees, for making our 5th annual Expo the best yet.
Thanks to all that respected the facilities and our staff, we ended with minimal complaints.

Our cadet officials - you all know who you are, you guys weathered a severe storm of great builders rolling through the tech line - thank you guys for putting yourselves in that vulnerable position.

Our cadet drivers put the stamp on the package and delivered the mail.
Wow!
You all should be darn proud of the performance you delivered to our spectators on Preble County’s track.

Inspection will actually be in Bruner Arena directly West of the expo hall (labeled food).

Food will actually be bordering the north side of the expo hall.

Parking - folks, we have rented the entire fairgrounds. Don’t park in the grass or blocking any doors.

Derby - grandstand seating only - NO seating on the pit side.

Everyone on the grounds must have an arm band or credentials.

Thank you - sincerely - to our exhibitors for packing in early Friday and joining us for a calm of fellowship, before the storm.
A storm of like minded people with a common love for something that produces memories you just can’t put a price on.
Our staff reported back that everyone was respectful, thank you all for that too.

Exhibitors - the doors will be unlocked today for set up by 10 am.
When you arrive - Jason and crew will be working with you on set up locations and supplying power drops. We’ll do our best to accommodate requests and needs.
Reminder that Charlotte’s catering will be set up for $10 dinner’s at 6 o’clock and exhibitors are welcomed to join in fellowship, as we all prepare for another great event.

Expo housekeeping items!

1. The attached site map will direct you to our entrance at 722 S Franklin Street, from the
N-S-E-or-W.
All other gates are closed.

2. Cash only for gate entry - be ready to keep traffic moving.
Gate opens at 8 and Expo hall 9, to allow folks plenty of time for entering and parking.

3. Exhibitors were mailed credentials. If the exhibitor you are helping did not give you an arm band - you must buy one at the gate.

4. The only attendees not expected to buy arm bands at the gate are staff, youth inspectors and cadet drivers.
If you’re not on the list, please purchase an arm band at the gate and see Mark Elliott or Casey Smith throughout the day with any questions.

4. Parking - please park anywhere on the gravel or asphalt.

5. Cadet drivers are expected to attend the 10:00 am breakout session in the event center - located on the front/west side of the expo building.
Important information about the parade, hitting the track and the Simple Solution giveaway will be shared.

6. Absolutely no part selling on the property by anyone other than paid vendors inside the Expo hall.
As in years past, you will be asked to pack up and if that’s an issue, you’ll be asked to leave.

7. Exhibitors who cannot make it Friday for set up - you must work with staff on Saturday for setting up. This is not recommended or ideal for anyone, but we understand things happen.

8. Track events - your gate pass gets you in all day and everywhere on the grounds, however, seating for the event will only be permitted in the main grandstands.

9. You must sign power wheel drivers up and plan A will be running during the main event. Plan B will be running in the Expo hall.

10. BYO-bags and baskets for the Easter egg hunt at noon.

We can’t quit laughing because of the amount of people that have said they were bringing eggs and candy to the Expo - we can’t even remember who All has said that. 😇😂
You guys all rock !!!

This is on track be the largest Easter egg hunt and sugar rush in the world - Please if you’re bringing candy, make sure it’s packed in eggs, or in some form of container to give away.

In 4 days we’ll fill this place with all walks of derby life.
Exhibitors from state - to - state, even Canada sharing their products/crafts/brands and connecting with new people.

We want to remind folks, although we are providing a centralized location to purchase and/or pick up pre-paid parts, vending of parts/products out of trucks or off of trailers outside the Expo hall will not be tolerated.
Allowing this would be an insult to our paid exhibitors.

Paid Exhibitors - a reminder - setting up Saturday is near impossible. You are asked to set up Friday and encouraged to partake in meal time at 6:00. Cheers to a great weekend!
