Tonight’s wedding was an organic, eclectic collection of beautiful flowers, greens and candles. I love the esthetic of this design. The Orpheum was the backdrop and the Nola Dukes are going to rock the night away. it was great working with you again.

Guestbooks over the years have taken on a different direction. From a book full of names of guest who attended your wedding to coffee table books with names and special messages. How about a painting that you will cherish day after day as a reminder of all those who touched the canvas and brought your painting to life. All the fingerprints were the start of this tree of life. After the wedding I added a background wash to the canvas and highlighted the fingerprints. It now hangs on the wall where they can see it everyday.

Jazz Fest theme party. Great way to add a pop of color throughout your home. The party invitation inspired the color palette. Dark blue delphinium, white roses, yellow spray roses and cream butterfly ranunculus. Black musical notes sprayed turquoise added a vibrant touch.

How will you welcome your guest to your wedding? For Kayla .pickett24 and Brandon we created these large 4ft. X 8ft. Signs that were attached to lattice screen just outside the front door of The Pavilion. It set the tone for how the night was going down. It’s hard to tell everyone hello during your reception. Saying thank you with signage let’s everyone know how much you appreciate them. The other sign “see you on the dance floor” tells guest where they can find you. With a band like the no way were we going to leave the dance floor. We can customize fun signs for you.

Weeks after Kayla and Brandon got engaged the design process began. First up the monogram. With an associates degree in advertising design I like to put that talent to good use every now and then. These are just a few pics of how it all came together.

Huge thanks to my friend Henry Spansel for helping me create the perfect backdrop for our daughter’s wedding. His engineering background helped create these three arches that are easy to assemble and transport. They are now available to rent . You can rent one, two or all three.

I did something for my daughter Kayla Fredricks that I have never done before. She had a vibrant colorful bouquet for pictures then I surprised her at the church with a beautiful cascade with softer tones.

So this is what we have been working on for the past two days. This years theme was “all is calm , all is bright”had everything finished and down came the rain. Could not have timed it any better. Thanks to Luminous Events of New Orleans, LLC who provided the lounge furniture, disco balls and most importantly the twinkle lights. thanks to my son Jeremy Fredricks for doing all the tinsel garland that covered all the upper tent poles. Merry Christmas!!!!

The FLOWER FEST 2023 So excited to be a competing floral designer in the third annual Flower Fest. Please come out and support me and a very good cause St Jude’s Children’s Hospital on Saturday April 1st. This year the theme is “birds of a feather”. My design will incorporate birds, flowers and my appreciation of art. It will be titled “step into my world”. You will be able to step in and be part of what will look like a large 3D painting. Follow along over the next few weeks as I show you some of the behind the scenes and what it takes to create something of this scale.

Yesterday was one of the most special days of Carolyn and I’s life. It fills our hearts to see our baby girl so happy and this amazing young man standing by her side. Thanks to the amazing GK Photography for taking these amazing images that are so full of emotion that I sit with more tears rolling down my face than yesterday. Congrats Kayla and Brandon. “Let the good times role”.

Today started off very early at 7:00am. Carolyn and I along with partner in crime headed to City Park to set this up. A few hours later our daughter and her boyfriend arrived and Brandon got on one knee and popped the question. After 40 years of doing weddings we are so excited to plan our baby girls special day.
