Who or what inspires you to cook?
My dad, who had his own passion for cooking, raised me on being in the kitchen with him. From my earliest days, my happiest times are in the kitchen. Growing up in a working household, dinner was the only time we were all able to eat together, growing up there was less and less time spent at the table. The part I admire the most about this industry is the fact that we create a space to bring families together, even for few hours.

What's your all time favorite dish to make?
This is such a hard question! Savory wise I would say that it’s a White Chicken Lasagna, This was the dish that propelled my desire to go to culinary school during the pandemic. Layered with mushroom duxelle, shredded chicken, spinach, ricotta, and Lemon Alfredo sauce finished with tarragon and parsley oil. For sweets, I would definitely say any kind of cookie or a flan!

What would you do with the $25,000?
If I were to be blessed enough to win $25,000 it would be invested into my business ! With the money I would also like to begin a nonprofit organization called “No Forgotten Birthdays” where we donate custom cakes for children and women in the foster care system and domestic violence shelters. Everyone deserves to be celebrated no matter their situation. The mission behind my company is to make the sour moments sweet I hope this will be the first step towards the goal.
