As previously mentioned, we were saying how the anniversary was coming up. But now it's official. 30 years ago today we started Hibernus Mortis. Lots of things to unpack over the last 30 years and hundreds of stories, but we will leave the details for another time.

While we were not a big touring act and pretty much just a Florida band, over the past 30 years we played close to a hundred shows and released two full length albums as well as a 5 song EP. We shared the stage with bands who inspired us and that we grew up idolizing. That was all more than we could have ever asked for, yet somehow this little band from Hialeah has gained fans from all around the globe.

At the end of the day, we started this band for the love of the music. We wrote this music for ourselves, and if other people enjoyed what we did, it was a bonus.

The emphasis since day one has always been on writing dark cavernous death metal. No frills, just raw and as heavy as possible. That is one thing that will never change. We have more plans which will be announced in the near future but today is about the last 30 years.

What's your favourite track from this album?

The first video/single "Blinded by Fear" was recorded in a deserted industrial site in central London. It was also our first proper video with a real crew.

Party Cannon recently completed a UK/IRE tour alongside Nekrogoblikon, Allegaeon, and more, in addition to appearing at some of the biggest European festivals of the summer.
