to an important piece by PBS highlighting when the National Trust recognized our Little Havana as a National Treasure in 2017. A time when our then Mayor Tomas P. Regalado worked with us and other preservationists to create a master plan for Little Havana. We continue our efforts daily in the neighorhood, and today we are grateful to have the support of many many private residents, business owners, and landlords in the area who also support and believe in this mission because Preservation is not just about architecture and structures for us, it is about the preservation of our History and Culture and the countless stories or those who came before us and created this unique and treasured neighborhood. Happy Monday and SPACES FILLING UP FAST FOR this weekend! We have so many incredible events that showcase our culture and architecture all around Miami thanks to our friends at the Miami Center for Architecture and Design who are hosting the first annual Open House Miami. This event is hosted all over the world but this is Miami's first year participating. You can get a complete listing of all events on their event page www.openhousemia.org.

In we have three amazing activations including two Free Walking Tours with Dr Paul George and Ralph De La Portilla on Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 4pm. And we also have a big cultural extravaganza at the Miami Dade College including Shorts, Dance showcases, Art exhibits and more all on Friday night from 6-9pm. Free Valet Parking on site at 2705 SW 3rd Street. Must RSVP to attend since spaces are limited.

Happy Birthday José Julián Martí Pérez (a day late yes we know 😌), but still worth reminding everyone of the importance of his work. He was the founder and leader of the Partido Revolucionario Cubano, or Cuban Revolutionary Party that fought for Cuba's independence against Spain. His poems and essays are still the inspiration for Cuba's ongoing struggle for Freedem and Independence from the tyranny of the Castro and now Diaz-Canel regime. 🇨🇺

Feliz cumpleaños José Julián Martí Pérez (un día tarde sí lo sabemos 😌 ), pero aún así vale la pena recordarles a todos la importancia de su trabajo. Fue el fundador y líder del Partido Revolucionario Cubano que luchó por la independencia de Cuba contra España.
