Hi Everyone,

To say that our County Commissioner in District 5 has been a wonderful partner for Viernes Culturales for the last 8 years, is a major understatement. She has not only been a fierce advocate for the preservation of Little Havana, but also a champion for the many small businesses that make it so special. These small businesses have also participated in her programs with FREE classes in marketing, social media and Ai and access to loans and Small Business grants.

No solo ha sido una firme defensora de la preservación de La Pequeña Habana, sino también una gran promotora de las muchas pequeñas empresas que la hacen tan especial.

This weekend we celebrated the life of one of the greatest Cuban artists of our time, .🤯🙏

His work is instantly recognizable — not only for its beauty, but also for the way it evokes the architecture and spirit of Havana, Cuba.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. His art will continue to inspire and remind us of the cultural heritage he so brilliantly captured. Rest in Peace Humberto.

This FRIDAY is Viernes Culturales/ Cultural Fridays, and as always you can enjoy Historic Little Havana like a LOCAL and for FREE starting at 12pm at different establishments on Calle Ocho (SW 8 Street).

We highly recommend you reserve your spot for our Historic Walking Tour with Paul George at 7pm. His tour changes every single month so feel free to join us if you're a first-timer, or mega-fan like so many of our locals. This tour will celebrate 25 years this year, and is one of the most treasured constants of the Little Havana neighborhood. Make sure to save your spot!!

ESTE AÑO Viernes celebrará 2️⃣5️⃣ años y nos encantaría contar con su ayuda para que sea una celebración espectacular de la historia y la cultura de la Pequeña Habana.

Tenemos muchos planes para el vecindario, incluyendo nuestra prioridad número uno de devolve el Tower Theatre a Miami Dade College como un cine de películas, abierto los 7 días de la semana como lo fue desde el principio.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

THIS YEAR Viernes will be celebrating 2️⃣5️⃣years, and we would ❤️❤️❤️ your help to make it a spectacular celebration of the history and culture of . We have so many plans for the neighborhood, including our #1 priority of returning back to Miami Dade College as a fully functioning Film Cinema open 7 days a week as it was always intended from the beginning.

As you can see thanks to local and beloved artist Tony Mendoza we will also be using his original piece this year in order to focus as much attention as possible on this icon of the neighborhood. Please join us by tagging all year in solidarity:



This Friday we will have Viernes Culturales (as always now THIRD FRIDAYS), including Live Music, Bacardi sampling, ART, and our FREE Walking tour starting at 5pm so definitely join us if you are in town this weekend. BUT stay tuned because in February ✅ we will bring you a brand new venue and lots of new neighborhood businesses and activations, with new artists and of course always, lots of authentic history and culture from the neighborhood we cherish so deeply.
