If you are in need of gas download the application named gas's buddies that will tell you where gas is available.

Also download Zello walkie talkie to communicate via walkie talkie with your family or friends should you lose power and still have phone service.
Both applications are downloaded from the Apple Store application.

A simple way to see what is happening on the road is to key your destination on the maps icon on your iPhone and it will show any warning and the flow of traffic.
