Just a reminder that the Towne Mall Redevelopment Survey is STILL OPEN!

The survey will close on Friday, Dec. 13. Participants can enter to win a $25 gift card!

Then, join city staff ONE WEEK from today when the City of Middletown hosts the Town Hall at the Towne Mall. There will be two sessions for this Town Hall, one from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and the other from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the former Elder-Beerman location. This will be an open house-style event where residents can share their thoughts and ideas about the redevelopment with city staff.

Beginning early in 2025, there will be a City Council Strategic Planning Session followed by a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the redevelopment of the Towne Mall site.

Middletown To Donate $10,000 to Middletown High School Band Trip To Inauguration 🇺🇸

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio – The City of Middletown announces that it will donate $10,000 to the Middletown High School Marching Band after the band was invited to perform in the inauguration parade in Washington D.C. by one of its alums, Vice President-elect J.D. Vance.

“Vice President-elect Vance’s rise to national leadership is inspiring and a truly significant achievement,” Acting City Manager Nathan Cahall said. “It is an honor for the City of Middletown to contribute to the band’s trip to celebrate this milestone. A celebration of Vance’s inauguration is a celebration of Middletown.”

Vice President-elect Vance, a 2003 graduate of Middletown High School, will be sworn-in on Jan. 20 on the steps of the United States Capitol. Not only will Vice President-elect Vance become the first vice president from Middletown, he will also become the third vice president to be born in the State of Ohio.

The City of Middletown plans to feature the vice president-elect in the January edition of the Middletown NOW newsletter. There are also plans to honor the vice president-elect with signage across the city.
