Traditions are everything in our house. This year we decided to start a new one. A Christmas Sleepover!

Aiden, Anthony & Jackson have an entire day jam packed with Christmas fun. Decorating Christmas cookies and building a gingerbread house. Writing letters to Santa and even a trip to see the big guy 🎅

We will close out the day with a Christmas movie, bowl of popcorn and a nice hot cup of cocoa!

Aiden has been so excited to have his cousin come over he hasn’t been able to stop talking about it.

Apple Charlie’s Day!

Since before Nick and I left on our trip Aiden has been talking about going to the “apple tree”. So we promised him we would take him to the apple orchard.

Auntie Ashlee, Grandma and Jackson came with us, and they had a blast. These 2 are two peas in a pod and had so much fun picking apples and looking at the farm animals. Aiden even had his first pony ride.

Operation Aiden’s Birthday Party has officially commenced! We are in full party mode over here. Cleaning the house, putting together the massive hot wheels garage that takes up half my living room.

I have dinosaur 🦖 decor EVERYWHERE! I think I have a problem 🤔 There is just so much you can do with a dino theme. I can’t wait to start posting pictures!

Kids birthday parties give me anxiety!

Planning parties are my jam, but the actual event itself, I feel like I am running at turbo speed and there is no sign of slowing down. You would think the years of coordinating would prepare me for this.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Among all the people, making sure your kid is not running off some where, ensuring everyone is fed, everyone is having a good time, getting the cake set up and opening presents ….. oh dear the presents. This is the NUMBER 1 ANXIETY TRIGGER for me!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Watching little kids try and help open the birthday kidos presents usually sends me over the deep end. I mean come on, how can it not? You have tissue paper flying everywhere, toy boxes ripped open and cards just chilling because when you are 2, who cares about the card right? ME, Mama, I care. I need to know who got my kid what so he can thank them accordingly. 🤦🏼‍♀️

My solution: individually wrapped gifts for the other kids to open while my kid opens his presents.

BEST MOM HACK! ​​​​​​​​

Okay, so maybe not THE best, but it is definitely a life saver in this household. To this day (almost) 3 years later, we still have this diaper caddy fully stocked.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Aiden's changing table is up in his room and when he was a baby I was not about to run upstairs EVERY TIME I had to change him. This "Double Duty Caddy" from ThirtyOne is amazing. It fit's half of a sleeve of diapers on one side and wipes, diaper cream and all Aiden's lotions on the other side.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
We kept this caddy in the living room because that is where we spent most of the day. Now that we are potty training, this caddy has moved to the bathroom and sits right next to Aiden's little potty.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
I highly recommend having some kind of caddy near by filled with the essentials!​​​​​​​​
