I had no idea yesterday was international tea day....the things you learn as you grow in the tea business! I was still unknowingly celebrating the day with a baby shower tea party for my beautiful friend.
For my parties I always offer afternoon tea services with the table scapes.
So far on my menu I have played around with gluten free, dairy free, vegan, and pregnancy safe options. I have also changed my menu for the seasons. I usually recommend three potted teas for the table; a black tea of choice, a green tea of choice and an herbal, caffeine free choice.
My menu options for a three tier afternoon tea include:
Sandwich tier: Turkey, basil and cream cheese on cinnamon raisin bread; Cucumber, mint and chive cream cheese on white bread; and/or Ham, cheddar, apple and spicy plum chutney on rye.
Scone tier: Blueberry Lemon Scones; Blueberry Cinnamon Scones; Cranberry Orange Scones; Maple Bacon Scones; or Cheddar Chive Scones; Scones are served with options for lemon curd, strawberry preserves and a faux clotted cream
Dessert Tier: Lemon Rosemary Shortbread Cookies; Earl Grey Sugar Cookies; Mini Gingerbread Muffins; and or Fruit with Vanilla Pudding Phyllo Cups
Black Teas: Earl Grey, Lady Grey, English Breakfast, Scottish Breakfast, Irish Breakfast, English Afternoon, Darjeeling, Chai, Chai Ultra Spice, Decaf Chai
Green Teas: Green Chai, Cherry Blossom, Coconut Green, Green
Herbal Teas: Peppermint, Country Peach, Sweet Wild Orange, Orange Spice, Chamomile, Black Cherry
Loose Leaf Teas: International Breakfast, Peach, and Plum
All teas are served with options for sugar, honey, lemon and milk, and all teas are available for single serve as well as potted choices for the table
Water/Alternative Options: Lemon Water, Cucumber Water, Homemade Lemonade

My favorite teas over the years have included Christmas Teas, Black Cherry, Peppermint and Chai Ultra Spice
