This has been my all time favorite thing to plan for a wedding so far!!

Hannah had the brilliant idea to surprise Nick with a custom beer made just for them from their favorite brewery (). She got to be a part of the brewing process and even got to share this with their guests on wedding day! How cool is that?!

This page is about our couples but of course you want to know who will pull your day off, so let me introduce myself! I’m Sophrona. The owner of Joyful Day Weddings and your best friend during your planning process.

Playing a role in one of the most special days in a couple's life is why I love weddings! I absolutely love being part of the beginning moments of each couples new life together and all of the small details that make each wedding unique and personal! I never thought that one meeting in a Starbucks would be the start of what I want to do for the rest of my life! I can't wait to see all of the new couples that we get to celebrate over the coming seasons and all of the wonderful weddings that my team gets to be a part of! Trey and Britta have joined the team and made every moment so much fun. From group texts, to long car rides after late wedding nights, and everything in between; they have become some of my best friends and the most amazing part of this wonderful job! Thankfully, most weddings are on Saturdays, because I am passionate Football Fan (SKOL VIKES). I have loved my new move to Phoenix and enjoying all Arizona has to offer, including jeep clubs, great hikes, and relaxing pool days!

Human connection is what we were placed upon this earth to experience, we do it everyday. But when you find that significant person you can’t go a day without + know you can’t see life without each other and ask that question, “Will you marry me?” That request for a extraordinary day. A day that you and your partner's love can be celebrated by all of your friends and family. To be a part of that journey + story of love is euphoric to me. To make your day as perfect as your love is my personal mission.

Sophrona is one the most hardworking, persistent, loving characters on this earth. The lessons I’ve learned from her has truly inspired me, so much that I’ve strived to seek a career in wedding planning. Just by watching how wonderfully she orchestrates and perfects every unique detail, is something I just have to admire her for and love about the woman! I’m excited for all the weddings to come to give you a Joyful Day Experience!

My motivation for this work comes from the story we're tasked to tell in creating a ceremony that embodies all the moments that lead up to the "I dos." Wedding planning to me is similar to the coming together of two people; the magic is in the process. It is my mission to honor the vision each couple has for the initiation into their future and hold space for each participant to have faith in their ability to see it through.

As a fellow small business owner, it brings me so much joy to be able to support Sophrona's dream of sustaining a business that emanates her passion for sacred ceremonies. Outside of weddings, I get lost wandering the city of Minneapolis and often making spur-of-the-moment plans with friends and family ♥️
