Chick-fil-A Monroe is so proud of our ladies who just ran in the Walt Disney World Marathon! If you come in this week and see these familiar faces, congratulate them on their hard work!! This was Amanda’s 70th (you read that right) marathon!! And Megan and Myra’s first (but probably won’t be their last)! To make the event even more special, Amanda ran in honor of a girl who is battling ataxia-telangiectasia. Her name is Emmy and she LOVES Chick-fil-A, so Amanda took her a gift from us! Her smile says it all!! 🏰

Emmy is 12 years old and recently started 6th grade. Unfortunately, she is no longer able to walk on her own and she struggles with basic tasks like getting dressed, using silverware and writing tools, and even projecting her voice loudly and clearly. She requires the help of a one-on-one aide at school each day and relies heavily on those around her to help with nearly all daily tasks. But A-T doesn’t define Emmy! Emmy may be soft-spoken but she is equally big-hearted. She loves splashing around at the pool, watching crafting videos on YouTube, and trading Pokemon cards with her little sister. We are pretty sure she could survive solely on Chick-Fil-A chicken nuggets, pasta, and chocolate and she’s also a HUGE Disney fan!
