The Macon County Improvement Coalition (MCIC) will host a commemorative event on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 3:13pm to provide an unforgettable experience of fellowship, hope and support to the community (media are invited to attend). On 3/13/2020 President Trump declared COVID-19 a National Pandemic. Since that time our community has suffered great loss and tragedy due to this deadly virus.

This community gathering will allow us to commemorate and remember those we have lost, honor the survivors and essential workers, and provide hope for the future in both physical, mental and spiritual health. Join us for prayer, words of encouragement and information, song, and fellowship. We will plant a pinwheel garden to remember our loved ones and release balloons as we release grief and sorrow. Please bring photos of your loved ones for the memorial table and wear red and/or yellow (COVID tribute colors) as we come together to HEAL OUR COMMUNITY!
