When I asked Monroe what he loved about Abby he started with, “ahhh where do I begin...” and ended with “She brings the best out of me and motivates me to be better version of myself everyday!” but each and every bit of what Monroe told me about their 7 years together was about as cute as these photos.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how to choose a bridal party and why they stand there beside you - here’s what I have come up with. (And this is just my opinion here people!) These are the friends you choose to hold you accountable for the promises you’re going to make to each other, to call you out when you’re not upholding your part of the deal, to be there for ya no matter what. Also...they will do literally anything for you...like hold you up for the worlds longest hora ever like Jess and Sam 😉

I wish you could see the magnitude of this canyon, listen to the voice of a close friend singing you into your ceremony and vibrating off the walls above you, and to feel the love within this small circle in the middle of nowhere Utah as they witnessed Lindsay and Sam promise each other forever. I wish I could show you in just a small series of photos how much went into this moment but for now- just know...it was better than you can ever imagine.

Knotted Events has officially been in business two very full wedding seasons and within that time I have met some of the BEST people- my couples, their families and friends and some wayyyyy kick a** vendors who are right there with me through it all, I’ve learned SO much, there have been some tears, some moments I didn’t think I could do it, and a whole lot more moments I wouldn’t trade this job for the world because all the laughs, love and memories make it so worth it! And with all that...I’ve grown and so has this business of mine. It’s changed and evolved so much, it was time my website did too.

If you want to hear “That was the best wedding I’ve ever been to!” for weeks after your wedding here’s what you need to do:

-Choose a totally different venue (with the best views of Aspen) like the Smuggler Mine.
-Add a good ol’ fashion round of Family Feud into your ceremony.
-Make your dog the ring bearer.
-Scratch the sit down dinner and extend cocktail hour to the entire evening.
-Hire a kick a** band.
-Late night DJ set with glow sticks, blow up instruments and snacks galore (ohhhh churros!)
-Pool party it up ALL day Sunday at
-most importantly, hire the vendors below who are all game to make your day amazing from start to finish!

Today and tomorrow are going to go really really fast. Make sure you stop to take in the little moments, to look at yourself in the mirror, hug your mom that extra second and go “woah- we just got married!” together and just be giddy! You are going to think about these moments for the rest of your life so make sure you remember every detail. And - what matters most tomorrow is that you get to marry your best friend. Everything else is the icing on the cake and I will take care of it don’t you worry!

Michael surprised his new bride with signature cocktails delivered by , there was an old Ford getaway truck (another surprise) for golden hour pics, some serious party vibes which included light up cowboy hats for these Texans, it rained a little for good luck 🍀, and wait till you see the way Michael looked at Hannah for the first time...

Here it is, my (belated...sorry, clients come first!) favorites list AND the reason I won’t recommend one shop to my brides:

Hands down best experience - Runaway Bridal they made shopping fun and zero pressure. The dress shop comes to you at home, at an Airbnb or a winery! Bonus: even my guests were having fun!

Best selection - Emma and Grace blew me away with how many options they had.

Boho dreams - A and Be Bridal but was there any question?

Best bang for your buck - The Green Bride if you’re like me and love a good deal...go check this out!

What I didn’t love:
-when you say your budget is X they shouldn’t bring dresses more than $500 over that.
-the store who shall not be named...will never get a recommendation from me again and is one of the most well known in Denver. Why? They couldn’t have cared less about their dresses. What should feel like a special moment felt like shopping at Walmart and I quite obviously was not their ideal client the second I walked in. Dirty dresses, floors and just bad juju.

Last tip! Make brunch and snack plans. Trust me 💁🏻

Top tip from my wedding dress shopping experience? Just have fun!

This goes for everything in wedding planning, but gets a little lost in the stress of it all and trying to please everyone. If it stops being fun, shake it off and remember what this is all about.

Definitely recommend booking your appointment in a winery too, that helps. 💁🏻

Happy international women’s day! I’m so lucky to be in an industry where I am constantly surrounded by women supporting, encouraging and in general just raising up other women and these seriously BA gals are some of my faves!

This week I’m going to be posting some behind the scenes of my own wedding dress shopping experience because if there’s ever a time for celebrating being a woman - it’s when you’re trying on a wedding dress and the ladies sure know how to make sure you feel like a million bucks!
