Coalfield Festival is coming back up June 2nd and 3rd. We will be needing Vendors, possibly one more food truck, workers to help out, and donations from individual people or businesses for the auction. Y’all come out now! Free food, pumpkin painting, small petting zoo, hayride, live music, vendors and the Mortonsgap Fire dept has set up! Tons of family fun! Come support us and make a deposit to the Mortonsgap Civic club so we can continue to have these type of events!!!

Vendor forms have been left out at the Mortons Gap City Hall. I have also emailed them. I need all vendors to try to get the forms in money in ASAP so I have a good count of exactly who alI is going to be there so I can figure out spacing! You can also electronically email me the form and money back if that is easier thank you!

We are getting a couple things together right now and hoping to get a lot of loose ends tied up this month! I am sending out the vendor information for all of those who wants to be a vendor at the coalfield festival! I will be getting those out tonight and this week! If you are interested in being a vendor and have not reached out to me please message me and I will get back to you guys as soon as possible. Sometimes it may take a little bit longer for me to get back to you but I will get back to you guys by the end of next week for sure! If you have not got any vendor information from me and have asked to be a vendor please contact me again and I will get it out to you ASAP!

We are FINALLY getting to go on with the fall fest! We are now planning our new event being the Mortonsgap Coalfield Festival! So we are currently looking for several food vendors, craft vendors, bands and local businesses who are willing to donate to our auction to help our town!!!! Please share and help us get ideas and donations! We will also need volunteers to help work the event! If anyone is interested please messege Lauren Hayes Boucher and we will get her back to you guys asap! Thank you all!!!’

Hi everyone. It is with disappointment that I have to let everyone know that I have made the decision to cancel, and host the event in the park at a later date. Possibly spring.

I have spoke to several members of our club, the mayor, and taken guidance from the Hopkins County Health Dept.

I realized ahead of time that not everyone would be happy with this decision. I realize others may still host their events. But we will still plan to host this at a later date. All donations will be kept with the club, and still used towards the event.

A lot of things don’t make sense right now, but trust I’m trying to make the best decision I can to not allow our town to be highlighted as an event that people were infected at.

Thank you for your understanding, and commitment to help make Mortons Gap better tomorrow than it is today.

I was asked to post a little more details for everyone on this event.

From 11am-2pm the Madisonville Show n Go Car Club will be hosting a cruise in for classic cars!

All vendors are allowed to be set up as early as 11am. We have some terrific ones coming. And vendors can stay until we are finished for the night around 9ish. All vendors are allowed to set up Friday night if it would make it easier for you.

We will be reaching out to vendors with some paperwork and we will have a place marked on the concrete for you where you can set up.

After the car club wraps up we will have a corn hole tournament starting. 20$ per team! Sign up anytime by messaging this page!! Winning team gets half pot.

Also around 230 pm Brad Ryan will take the stage, and be playing contemporary Christian music.

We will have a silent auction, and kids games set up through out.

After Brad Ryan leaves the stage we may auction off some more items. Thank our sponsors.

Around 430ish Sarah Beth Brewer who sings country, and classic rock type music will be taking the stage.

After Sarah we will have Timmy Moore around 7-730ish who sings 70s,80s, classic rock closing out the night!!

Some of the vendors that will be present are Campfire Roasters, Let’s Get Fried, Build a Sandwhich, BBQ and also we will have a ton of craft vendors set up as well as school teams with tables.

I have had a few people contact me about donating either a cash donation or a basket/gift cards etc for our event.

All checks should be made out to Mortons Gap Civic Club. All gift cards, checks, can be dropped off at City Hall during business hours. If you want to put together a basket or have an item to donate for the auction we can start taking those around the middle of August.

If we haven’t gotten back with anyone yet I haven’t forgotten about you we are going to try to sit down together this weekend, and get back in touch with everyone.

Life with 4 kids and working full time is just a busy life, please be patient with us. 😜

Just to be clear the car show is actually a classic car cruise in. Not a competition show. It is from 11am-2pm!! And will be across from Johnson’s Lawn Mower shop. They have let us use part of their lot next to the park. It is being hosted by the Madisonville Show n Go Car Club.

Following the cruise in we will start the corn hole tournament, and the live music. Vendors will be present all day!!

The Mortons Gap Civic Club has worked hard on this event, and hope to see you all there!!
