I wanted to take a moment to thank all of those who made Sunday's event Easter Bunny Bonanza & Benefit for Cason possible and a huge success. Thank you to Mayberry Meadows Weddings & Events for letting us host at your beautiful venue! They were so kind to generously donate the space for the entire day. Thank you to Talley's Custom Frame & Gallery for the painting activity. This was such a fun addition to the day and every kid got to take home a piece of their own artwork. Not only did Talley's supply all of the materials, stickers and bracelets, but they brought a team of volunteers to help assist each kid with the painting. Thank you to House of Posh for decorating with beautiful balloons. I never know what these ladies will come up with but I'm always blown away by their work. They also donated their time and materials. Thank you to The Brownie Bar & T’s Treats for setting up providing delicious food and treats and for your donations to The McMillian Family. Thank you to Kids Lounge & Co for setting up with the cutest kid's clothes and for your donation to the family. Thank you to Mrs. Cottontail and Friends Programs & Parties for bringing the sweetest and fluffiest bunnies in the cutest costumes. I think all of the kids loved it! Thank you to Mount Airy Parks & Recreation and Peter Raymer for providing outdoor games and activities! Thank you to my friends Kristen White and Kayla & Lydia Williams for coming in and immediately helping me out without hesitation. I struggle with asking for help but these ladies made me give them something to do and it was a huge help for sure! They spent their Sunday afternoon helping me out when they could've been anywhere else. I am so appreciative of them! Thank you to my husband, Jonathan Smith, who willingly dressed as the Easter Bunny for the main portion of the event so that I could coordinate. He couldn't see, had to wear a tutu and sequins, and had the worst handler ever (me) that almost led him to flip over a chair. Thank you for putting up with my crazy ideas and participating in any way that I ask you to. Thank you to Hollie James The Preppy Peach~A Children’s Boutique! Because of these two ladies and their businesses, we were able to cover expenses and donate ALL proceeds from the day to the McMillian Family.

I absolutely love this community and am reminded of how strong our community is and can come together to help one another in times of need. Please continue to keep Cason and his family in your prayers. God is in this story and we are putting our faith in Him. Join us for an Easter Bunny Bonanza & Benefit for Cason!

Cason was recently diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). He will have to spend a total of 8 months in Brenner's Children's Hospital for treatment. We want to raise money to help this family in any way that we can. Admission to this event will be donation only with ALL proceeds going to Cason & his family.

This event will be held on Sunday, March 24th from 2pm until 4pm at Mayberry Meadows Weddings & Events located at 324 Sidden Street. The Easter Bunny will be there to greet children and pose for photos. There will be kid's activities, egg hunt, crafts and games. Talley's Custom Frame & Gallery will be set up for kids to paint. T's Treats Food Truck & The Brownie Bar will be set up selling their delicious treats. Mrs. Cottontail and Friends will be there with live bunnies for petting & posing for photos. We will also have a 50/50 drawing to raise money for the family.

Again, tickets are not required for this event and admission is simply a donation (any amount is appreciated). This will be an afternoon of Easter fun, all for a good cause!
