Bright Water Tellers

The Bright Water Tellers will meet on Monday, April 7, 7pm EDT/6pm CDT/5pm MDT/4pm PDT. Everyone is welcome to listen and tell. Spring is rolling in, but there are people actually sad to see winter go. (Really!) So, we'll start with a quick minute on Beginnings and Endings. Then we will have our usual Open Mic - any story, any stage of development, keep it to 8 minutes. This is a free Zoom event, but you must register here:

Bright Water Tellers - here's your opportunity to shine! Our Winter Solstice concert, "Come Darkness, Come Light" was such a great success that we are putting on a virtual concert on the Spring Equinox at 7:00 pm Eastern, Thursday, March 20 for World Storytelling Day. Stories should be 12 minutes or less and follow the World Storytelling Day theme of Deep Water. Nice theme, right? We will be able to accommodate as many as 8 tellers. If you want to be a part of this, let me know - it's first come first served and one slot is already taken.

In 2018 Michigan storyteller, Yvonne Healy presented a workshop for Midland Area Storytellers. MAST was founded by Ray Roberts and other Midland Area Storytellers. Ray was a steady light in the storytelling community. While attending The Flint Public Library’s Annual Michigan Storytellers Festival, Ray introduced himself to Eileen DeLorenzo and invited her to MAST held at Grace A. Dow Memorial Library in Midland. Sometime later, MAST expanded its reach of tellers and became Mid-Michigan Area Storytellers. The torch held by Ray and MAST's founders has been passed and still burning in Bright Water Tellers.
