A few years ago, Addison Conely went to prom, graduated high school, and married her childhood sweetheart Sebastian Snitily ✨ Addi faced a 17 month battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and last year, she was honored with a butterfly garden in Chino Hills 🦋 We are so grateful to have been a small part of her last wishes, and we want to continue honoring Addi and her family. “Holidays were always Addi’s favorite. She loved being with her family and friends, spending all day in the kitchen, shopping for the perfect gifts, and ending the night with hot chocolate by the fire while watching Elf.
Addi loved every holiday for its own reasons, and she never let us decorate the Christmas tree before Thanksgiving—she believed every holiday deserved its time to shine. 🦃 🧡🎗️
I can’t help but think about Thanksgiving 2021. Extreme circumstances kept our family from being together, and Addi was heartbroken. She looked at me and said, “What if this is my last Thanksgiving?” Despite being in treatment, she dreamed of inviting everyone over to celebrate.
Looking back, I wish I could have said yes to it all and made it happen. We had spent so many holidays in the hospital that year—her birthday, Father’s Day, the Fourth of July. Cancer stole so much from her, but it never stole her love for the holidays.
This Thanksgiving, we’re carrying Addi’s love forward. We’re asking you to help us make the holidays a little brighter for those spending them in the hospital, away from their loved ones.
