This young man works for me. He’s a great kid. He worked with me Sunday and then was going up to his father’s grave to clean the headstone and honor his father on Father’s Day. I normally don’t ask for things but he has a long road to recovery and his medical bills are going to be huge. Due to an unfortunate accident, we are down a team member. We are looking for a stagehand. If anyone knows of someone looking for a part time weekend job, here is what we are looking for:
Production Assistants (stagehand) - responsibilities:
Load and unload road cases, speakers and materials from trailers.
Set up lighting, PA speakers and microphones.
Assist with video, sound, and light production.
Maintenance of sound equipment, lighting equipment and stages.
All work is primarily on the weekends.
No experience necessary, we will train you.

Sounds Alive Audio-Video has employment opportunities for the 2024 season. We are looking for stagehands, drivers and audio technicians. No experience is necessary for the stagehand positions. We will train you. Experience is necessary for the other two positions. Our season starts in May and ends in October. A majority of the work will be on the weekends and typically outdoors. You must work well within a team environment and have the ability to follow instructions and remain professional under pressure. MUST have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Production Assistants (stagehand) - responsibilities:
Assist with setting up and tearing down Stageline mobile stages.
Load and unload road cases, speakers and materials from trailers.
Set up lighting, PA speakers and microphones.
Assist with sound and light production.

Drivers - responsibilities:
Delivery and setup of stages and equipment. Must be able to pull a 35' trailer and/or drive a 26' straight truck. CDL not required but preferable.

Audio technicians - responsibilities:
Mixing FOH and/or monitors
Design the placement of speakers, amps, and microphones
Supervises a crew of technicians and stagehands through load-in, sound check, performance, and load-out.
As the FOH, you will collaborate closely with the artists to determine the sound the band wants for their performance.
As the monitor engineer, you will work closely with the artist to nail down exactly the mix they need in their monitors.

It's that time of year again where we are searching for innovative, reliable music lovers to join our team and work on a range of projects. Most projects are Friday and/or Saturday WEEKLY. Earn while you learn.

Production Assistant Responsibilities:
• Safely setting up, repairing, servicing, and replacing equipment when required.
• Load / Unload Trailer
• Manipulating and enhancing live and recorded audio.
• Help with diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment.
• Editing and mixing audio to client specifications.
• Improvising props to produce required sounds.
• Building solid, professional relationships with other artists and clients.
• Demonstrate Patience, Attention to Detail, and Develop Interpersonal Skills to be successful.

Production Assistant Requirements:
• High school diploma.
• Associate degree or other relevant certification recommended or currently in school for same.
• Practical experience with recording, editing, and mixing software.
• Familiarity with audio mixing consoles, microphones, and equalizers.
• A good ear and creative spirit.
• You must work well within a team environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and remain professional under pressure.
• Sound troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. You should be able to offer creative input, but also follow written and verbal instructions.
• MUST have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Being on time is a MUST. Event is staged based on Detail Sheets. You must be someone who can be On Time for All events.

2023 marks my 50th year in the music business. I started playing professionally in 1973 with the Rich Rakers Orchestra. Co-founded Baden Rhode in late 1974/early 1975 with Rip Billhartz & Duane Grapperhaus. After I got out of the band I started a successful DJ service for several years. I got tired of all the bridezillas so I closed that down. Pete Nasir asked me to help him out & that’s when I started mixing bands and I haven’t stopped. In 2007 I bought my first mobile stage. People thought I was crazy spending all that money but that purchase took my company from a small St. Louis area sound company to a Midwest regional company. I’ve been all over the Midwest. Wisconsin, Mississippi, Iowa, Oklahoma, Ohio just to name a few. During this time I also elevated the size of events we were doing from smaller festivals to larger concerts. We grew the business to do 2 or 3 events a weekend & I have 3 mobile stage in our fleet. I have mixed national touring acts as well as up & coming bands. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the past 15 years doing what I love. Unfortunately, all the hard work has taken it’s toll on my back. I have severe spinal stenosis which requires pain management to get me through the day. This year we will be working a condensed schedule so I can enjoy 2023 hopefully pain free. Thanks to my great team for all you do.
