As I watched all the 2024 reels shared on social media full of memories, moments, and victories, I considered creating one too… but I didn’t. It just didn’t feel right or authentic for me.

2024 was a rollercoaster year… the highs were super high, and the lows well they were low…. I felt the human fragility intensely in myself and others, and at time it felt like too much.

I woke up to the news of the act of terror on Bourbon Street, which is so absolutely horrific. There are no words which can give comfort to those who lost family members. My deepest condolences to you all.💔Sending love and healing to the injured in hospital. Our City is more like village where everyone knows everyone, and this is devastating to us all.

I think of the suffering in Gaza and Ukraine. I think of the homeless people in our tiny city being shuttled off like cattle, while it busily prepares for the superbowl…

So, whilst we celebrate our victories, and try to recover from our losses, let’s give ourselves permission to be vulnerable, to abandon ourselves to our feelings, to ask for help, and to help others. Our purpose here on earth is to love, to feel, and to heal. I pray that 2025 is gentle and kind to us all. With all my love, Ranna ###

Christmas was beautiful and tranquil… but now the excitement is starting to build up for Mardi Gras. 💜💚💛

I am part of an incredible all female costume Krewe ! We are all busy putting the finishing touches to our annual top secret varietal! I love being part of such a magical sisterhood, full of inspiring brilliant women! We have so many incredible events and initiatives coming up in 2025, including our Fundraiser for in March! Please check insta page for details!!

We will be debuting our varietal on Saturday 11th January under the arches of Armstrong Park at 3pm. I hope to see some of your beautiful faces there! In the meantime, enjoy the rest of this incredible year, and stay away from the King Cake until 12th night! ❤️❤️❤️
