Ruby and Pearl Events

Ruby and Pearl Events Some call it "day of" or "month of." We call it event management. Seamlessly executed events simply don't happen on a short time frame. We set the bar high.

We manage celebrations of all shapes and sizes through our planning company, Sapphire Events. At Ruby and Pearl, our approach is to deliver the same standard of excellence and quality control to clients seeking the very best in event management. We do not believe in limiting our relationship to simply “day of” or “month of” coordination. We believe you should have access to experts in the field th

roughout the planning process to assist you in navigating the complicated logistics and detailed production requirements of event planning along the way. We want to point you in the right direction by offering you our list of tried-and-true creative partners, who have proven to us time and again that they care as much about the end product as we do, and share in our commitment to stellar performance and customer satisfaction. While you take the reins in planning your own event, we are by your side to take the “guess work” out of the process in order to maximize your enjoyment of the engagement, and deliver peace of mind. We want to set you up for success as early in the process as possible. And at the end of the day, we want to see you dancing, laughing, and soaking up all the love in the room around you while we manage the details and logistics.

This is it, the moment you’ve been waiting for. A month, a year, a lifetime of anticipation comes down to this solemn walk. 👰🏻

There are so many things that can happen on the big day. The best laid plans and the details, logistics, and confirmations set into place for the months leading up to the big day are great when they happen as intended. ⏱️ 📋

But after more than a decade planning weddings, we know good and well that what we really prepare for are the unknowns. The things beyond our control. The moments that push us as professionals to do what it takes to deliver on our couple’s most important day of their lives. 🗓️

This is what we live for. Moments like this one, expertly photographed by our friend , where everything else melts away except for what matters most: this walk down the aisle toward destiny. And the next chapter unfolds. 📖

Let us set you up for success for your best day ever. We’ve been through the thick of it, and stand by our commitment to excellence. No matter what happens on your wedding day, you will be no less married to the love of your life. That’s what matters most. And we do whatever it takes to get you across the finish line. 🏅 🥂

'm going to address the elephant in the room: the very first thing you need to do after getting engaged is get your guest list finalized! 🐘 There, I said it!

Not just a rough draft, not just a master list with plus ones. You NEED to sit down with your VIPs (parents and financially contributing parties) to discuss who is on the must-invite list. 💌 This will affect everything about your wedding planning process, specifically with the venue and most importantly with the budget 💰

This part of the process is SO important to finalize before you proceed with anything else wedding related! Just do it👟 and you will be so relieved to move on from the back-and-forth to other pressing matters (attire shopping, anyone?) 👰🏽🤵🏽

⁇ Let me know: how many people are on your must-invite list? Tell me in the comments! ⬇

For more info on why you've got to nail down your final guest list before doing anything else, check out the link above for a video I think you are going to want to take notes for: Tap the link in my bio for more info ->

📣 The rumor is true: here in New Orleans, 🎭 we really DO get temperatures chilly enough for a proper winter wedding! ⛄ If you hit that timing jusssstttt right, your January/February wedding might be hovering above freezing for our three weeks of actual winter weather. Break out the faux fur stoles! 🧊

❤ Otherwise, fall and winter months are the BEST times of year to get married in NOLA, especially if you are OK with mild temps 🌴 and looking to escape the freezing tundra of the northeast during the dark winter months. 🌅 New Orleans is always a good idea for a wedding!

Celebrating slightly relaxed gathering restrictions nowadays - and enjoying every minute of it! 🎉 Wedding planning in 2020 has been a wild ride, amirite? 🎢

Bottoms up! 🥂 Why not make your bar as beautiful as the dance floor itself? For our design team, we leave no stone unturned. 😍 As guests pulled themselves off the dance floor for a break between songs, we gave them a bar setup that was easy on the eyes 🌸🌿

When designing a transformative space, we make every detail count. 👆 Swipe ➡️ to see what I mean! Thanks to our floral ride-or-die team for knocking this out of the park, as always!

Can't stop that feelin'! 😍 What we love about New Orleans weddings is also what we miss MOST of all: the beat of the drums 🥁, the unmistakable blast of the brass 🎷, and joyous dancing in the streets. 💃🏽🕺🏽

There's something in the air telling me soon enough we will be getting right back to it! Until then, you'll find us masked up 😷 and doing our part this winter to gear up for wedding season. It's coming! 🎉

We’ve been a with for years alongside our sister company . I’m joining the with this flatlay design inspired by my love of old western movies, with a modern twist for a minimalist couple.

Using only materials I already own, I challenged myself not to rely on ribbon and fresh florals as styling props for this flatlay challenge. I instead pulled from items around my office that I imagine might have been collected by a horseback rider travelling west. Leather strips, a feather quill, and equestrian details inspired me to create this vision of what a modern couple with a love for the old west would gravitate toward for their wedding design.

I even pulled in an old Bell & Howell sundial video camera from the ‘60s I have staged on my barcart! That Blanton’s cork with the galloping horse is a favorite token that fits right in. I love playing off the varying textures here, using cold marble mixed with a linen texture and warm wood details. Juxtaposition in design is something I strive for, aligning unexpected elements to bring the storytelling full circle.

I incorporated details that delight all five senses: the feeling of cold marble and the warmth of leather, the crisp taste of Blanton’s whiskey in a signature cocktail, the delicate scent of a playful strand of smoke dancing off the end of a freshly extinguished match, the visual balance of modern circles that soften the appearance of minimalist straight lines, and the sound of a distant rolling thunder of galloping hooves in the desert sand.

I refer to this design inspiration modern ranch minimalism; Eastwood meets Westworld. I had so much fun exercising my creative muscles for this challenge, and now I can’t wait to bring this vision to life for a real couple!

Thank you for including me in the challenge, and ! I am excited to see what other designs this challenge produces! XO!
