This morning, I attended an early networking event at The Social Space in New Richmond, and wow—what a beautiful space!

And that's a wrap on and first year in business for The Social Space - New Richmond, WI!

We’re honored to have hosted over 150 events between our former Hudson location and our current New Richmond location. With an estimated total attendance of nearly 4,000 people, guests have come through our doors to celebrate, network, podcast, promote their businesses, and so much more—from all over Minnesota (our farthest customer being from Byron), Wisconsin (Green Bay), and even nationwide (Nevada and South Carolina). We are incredibly thankful to everyone who has been part of this journey.

The year 2024 was nothing short of a rollercoaster as we navigated the challenges of starting our first business. We learned the hard way that owning a business isn’t for the faint of heart. From opening a location in Hudson, to having it shut down just months later, to quickly pivoting and finding a fantastic location in New Richmond where the city welcomed us with open arms—it’s been a year of growth and resilience. There were many lessons learned along the way, but perseverance and resilience are two qualities we’ve gained by being forged in the fire.

Although we wish we could still have a location in Hudson, we’ve been thrilled to see many people from the Hudson area continue to book at our New Richmond location. We are forever grateful for the support we’ve received from this incredible community.

Special thanks to:
- Gibby's Lanes, Sports Bar and Restaurant for being a great landlord to work with and having a fantastic unit we could lease.
- City of New Richmond, Wisconsin for setting the standard for what it means to be a pro-business community
- Kelsey Valley for the awesome social media marketing she's been doing for us (if your a local small business needing some marketing, definitely reach out to her!)
- Raydius for creating a web platform for us that created such a smooth end-to-end booking experience.
- Our families and friends for believing in the vision and supporting us and helping us with the remodels at each location
- Last but not least, our customers and all the communities they've come from!
