No better way to say goodbye to 5784 and bring in 5785 than with the sweetest baby girl’s first birthday party and baby naming at Locanda Verde in Tribeca. She was welcomed into her community, led by her fantastic parents, whose wedding I’d gotten to officiate almost exactly 2 years ago at the NY Botanical Gardens. Community, continuity and lots of love filled that room, just like everything we do

Thinking about Kol Nidre tonight and R Alan Lew’s z”l words: “…the Kol Nidre prayer calls the soul back to itself, a prayer that calls the soul to its real home, and that home is always in something larger than itself.” Excited to be with a community that feels like home.
