Sometimes when I work a wedding that requires sound in multiple locations, I have to create a mix ahead of time so I can keep music playing for guests as I move gear around.

Such was the case for Alyssa and Stephen on 9/19/2020. This was the cocktail hour mix I created for their guests so I could break down audio in the ceremony space and bring it up to the reception area.

This mix was exclusive for them! For any wedding that requires a pre-mix I always build something new based on the preferences and tastes of the couple getting married.

*Backstory:*
Wednesday night I was out for a run when I got an email asking if I was available to DJ a wedding on Saturday. A couple in Villa Rica, GA was left scrambling after their DJ had to cancel last minute.

I hopped on the phone with Michael and Lisa that night, and it felt like we just clicked right away. They had a great vision, some fun song requests, and a great chemistry even on the phone that told me this would be a beautiful wedding to be a part of.

Sure enough, we had outstanding weather (aside from a 30 minute rain delay right as the ceremony was starting), a graceful couple, a super fun group of family and friends, and the team at The Barn at Nalley Properties made sure this was an unforgettable afternoon. Cheers to Regina and her whole team there.

Thanks so much Michael & Lisa for letting me be a part of your special day. I had a great time and I hope you did too.

Happy Friday everyone! Here's a live, mini mix to help bring us into the weekend. This is from a wedding I DJ'd in the Smoky Mountains last week.

Since making the move to ATL my wedding rotation features some country/western music that wasn't on any preference sheets back in BK...and I have to admit, I'm definitely digging these tunes!

Had a blast this past weekend DJ'ing a small, outdoor wedding for Tyler & Aubrey in the Smoky Mountains.

(I can assure you guests actually arrived for this, I was just hard at work keeping everyone dancing and only had time to take pics at the beginning of the night. Oh well, next time I'll try to remember to capture more of the action.)
