We had a fantastic time at our shows in Staten Island’s Stapleton Waterfront Park this summer!

Thanks to a generous grant from the Levitt Foundation, we were able to work together with community members to create a run of shows that celebrated the values of residents and strengthened our connection to the borough.

Global icon, five-time GRAMMY Award winner, and alum Angélique Kidjo returns to Carnegie Hall in celebration of her incomparable 40-year (and counting!) career with a concert that includes selections from her latest project, African Symphony, as well as performances with her band of songs that have defined her career on 11/2. Special guests include Nile Rodgers, Baaba Maal, and Derrick Hodge with the Color of Noize Orchestra.

We are also saddened by the passing of Rodolfo Franklin, known onstage as DJ Clark Kent. As a member of The Originals, Kent has been a SummerStage staple, gracing our stage in Central Park many times. He was an all-star producer who worked with the likes of JAY-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., Mariah Carey, and more. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and fans at this time.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Grateful Dead co-founder and bassist, the legendary Phil Lesh. Lesh brought some of the best musicians to our Central Park stage to play alongside him throughout the years - Melvin Seals, Nicki Bluhm, Chris Robinson & more - keeping the music of the Grateful Dead moving forward into the future. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and the legions of fans across the world.
