I have 10 years of experience as a DJ/MC. I know how to mix and MC. Do not hire some kid or so called Ipod DJ that does this for a hobby wears a baseball cap and jeans down to his butt and thinks that's kool. Ask yourself, would you want this at your event, I don't think so. Do yourself a favor when shopping around for a DJ w**d out the amatuers, be diligent, set up a meeting and ask questions. Ask these guys if they have an extensive music selection. Make sure that their music library consists of more than just Hip Hop, Reggae and Kenny G. Make sure that they can MC like a pro, be heard and articulate their words properly when speaking and not hold
the mic as if they're a rap star. Formalities and announcements are important and should be taken seriously. Make sure they are dressed appropriately for your event. (Suit or Tuxedo)
