🎉COME SUPPORT THE KIDDOS FROM Plaza Proletaria AND THE GREAT PEOPLE WHO MADE IT HAPPEN🎉
⭐️ This week is the final week of our Summer youth program. It has been a formative 8 weeks - for the youth, for our organizers, and for our organization. We see no end to our youth programming and the only limitations we face are material ones.
✨ This Saturday we’ll be giving a public reportback on what we were able to accomplish, our shortcomings, our plan for the academic school year, and much more. Sonido Malibu, a construction worker by day, will be closing us out with some musica variada.
📍Re $20 suggested donation:
For these types of events we order catering from a plaza member. We pay for the initial costs (groceries) and their labor/time at a judicious rate. Our comrades/volunteers do the serving. We also give our host Floreria San Miguel Archangel for the time in their space. Lastly, we give a contribution to our Sonido of this time and transportation costs. Everything else is stashed to help cover future operation costs. It’s a suggested donation because we understand not everyone can give, but still may want to support. A comrade will be at the door to politely remind folks of the suggested donation. Show some love.
📎 We’d especially like to see teachers and DOE staff present. All interested volunteers should come.
