If you are queer or a dyke and spent any time in Brooklyn/NYC nightlife in the last two decades — including Hey Queen! or Everybooty — you have been touched by the brilliance of Murray Hill. If you are a younger generation, know that Murray’s creative genius helped shape the nightlife and arts culture you love New York for.

Even if Murray wasn’t as wonderful as Murray, supporting someone in need is the right thing to do.

So whatever your reason, please donate to this fundraiser. Murray’s home and belongings were destroyed on Thanksgiving (his 50th birthday no less).

Join me in donating to help him rebuild.

Thanks for nourishing us Murray, now let us have your back. 💜

Murray Hill has been spreading joy and making us all laugh for over a decad… Angie Pontani needs your support for Help Murray Hill recover from building fire

Emergency Call to Stand Against Trump's Muslim and Refugee Bans

Last week, Trump signed an Executive Order halting all refugee admissions and barring people from many predominantly Muslim countries from entering the United States. This vicious, hateful Executive Order undermines everything that America stands for. But remember, Trump’s agenda doesn’t depend on Trump—it depends on YOUR members of Congress rubber-stamping it.

To explain how you can resist, Indivisible is co-hosting a big planning call with Asian Americans Advancing Justice (AAAJ), American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP), and National Immigration Law Center (NILC-IJF) TONIGHT (Monday) at 9pm (ET) / 6pm (PST).

We're a Time Out New York Critic's Pick!

Those looking for an alternative to the Manhattan gay pride scene can hit up this event at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. The Pride weekend blowout will take over four floors of the arts institution—from the basement all the way up to the rooftop—with flashy, glittery members of the queer art and nightlife worlds. The six-hour art party will feature DJs, art installations, live readings and tons of performances, including by British pop star Bright Light Bright Light and performance artist Joseph Keckler.
