Rehearsal Dinner:
Traditionally this serves as an intimate gathering for the bridal party, close family, and you may add in out-of-town guests.

Welcome Dinner: Allows time for guests’ introductions and to get to know each other.

Cultural Ceremonies- For couples from different cultural backgrounds, multi-day celebrations provide an opportunity to honor your heritage and roots. This might include traditional ceremonies, cultural performances, or food from each culture, allowing guests to experience a blend of the couple’s heritage.

Wedding After-Party: AFTER THE SHOW IS THE AFTER-PARTY… ✨
Keep the energy high after the reception. Transition to an atmosphere with a DJ, specialty cocktails, and late-night snacks. You can even hire a food, coffee or treat touch. We love to name a few.

Selecting the members of your wedding party can be exciting. However, it’s a sound idea to consider those who have been supportive of your relationship during difficult times and offered you helpful advice. You don’t have to feel pressured to include everyone, especially if you have a large group of friends or family members. You can involve them in other ways. We put together a suggestion list to help you along.

1. Ask them to read a poem at the ceremony.
2. Bless the food before meals are served.
3. Give a speech at the reception.
4. Assist with mailing invitations or thank-you cards.

I’ve had better days 😔

On February 19, 2024 my younger sister, age 43, had a brain aneurysm. Four days later on February 23, 2024 the team and I had a wedding rehearsal followed by the wedding the next day. Although my world had crashed, I needed to experience some joy and happiness for a few hours. I want to publicly thank my amazing team who told me “we got you”. The wedding was beautiful, fun and well managed. Woot, woot!

Fast forward to today, the progress and quick recovery for my sister went in reverse. For three plus weeks my family and I remained by her bedside supporting, loving and caring for my sister Sharell. On March 26, 2024, my family and I said our goodbyes to my mini me, heart and biggest fan.

The aneurysm was sudden with no warning signs. There was no way to prepare for what would be. I want to encourage each of you to always put family before work and friends. The last three weeks of my sister’s life, I am grateful that I never missed a day. I now have a bigger auntie role for my two nieces while running a school, planning weddings and events and being a mom.

There is a saying, “God won’t give you more that you can handle”. So here I stand, broken, committed and embracing my new normal. Normally, I’m private but felt the need to share to emphasize to live every moment, love your family and be a good person. When it’s all said and done, we don’t leave here with money, cars, jewelry. We leave behind hopefully, great memories and moments to be treasured forever.

What should I do DURING an earthquake?

If you are INDOORS — STAY THERE! Get under a desk or table and hang on to it (Drop, Cover, and Hold on!) or move into a hallway or against an inside wall. STAY CLEAR of windows, fireplaces, and heavy furniture or appliances. GET OUT of the kitchen, which is a dangerous place (things can fall on you). DON’T run downstairs or rush outside while the building is shaking or while there is danger of falling and hurting yourself or being hit by falling glass or debris.

If you are OUTSIDE — get into the OPEN, away from buildings, power lines, chimneys, and anything else that might fall on you.

If you are DRIVING — stop, but carefully. Move your car as far out of traffic as possible. DO NOT stop on or under a bridge or overpass or under trees, light posts, power lines, or signs. STAY INSIDE your car until the shaking stops. When you RESUME driving, watch for breaks in the pavement, fallen rocks, and bumps in the road at bridge approaches.

Hello Friends, Yesterday, I drove to Connecticut for a site visit @thewaterview. When the “Big Day” is approaching the final parts of planning are underway. This allows us as your planning team to become familiar with the space. A site visit happens approximately one month out, especially when working with a new venue. Next, we further work out details and modify the run of show (timeline) accordingly. For Gabby & Ben’s upcoming wedding on August 24, 2024, we are thrilled to be working with Zuleika at the Waterview.
