2021 Awards: A Year in Review
With gratitude for our clients and our team, who made this an inspirational year. #WeAreGradient
Working with the global consumer engagement platform, Gradient had the pleasure of directing, shooting and editing content sequences as part of Braze's virtual, international City by City conference initiative. This was accomplished by utilizing a combination of our livestream pod in their HQ to sending 20+ Gradient filming kits globally. Finally, Gradient activated the push to Live of the virtual events in real time, ensuring all elements were carried out successfully.
Our partnership with Qatar Museums for the Qatar - USA Year of Culture 2021 has brought us many memorable opportunities for cultural exchange, including the recent photography exhibition “Light & Shadow: A visual journey through Oregon” on view at QAIC in DC until March 2022.
Take a look at the incredible story through the lens of our two photographers, Andrew Studer (USA) and Khalifa Al-Misnad (Qatar), as they traveled through the Pacific Northwest bonding over nature, affirming that photography is a universal language not limited by borders, cultures, or people.

Similarly, we have seen that non-tangible experiences can create emotions, with a very rapid feedback mechanism based on the users’ length of connection (no one wants to stay connected when the zoom experience is cringe-worthy…).
As strange as virtual-to-physical intermingling of products and experiences may feel, this may be our generations’ opportunity to dig into our emotions and accept these changing times. Our Founder & Head of Innovation, Anthony, frames the conversation, “For my grandfather, Elvis was the music of the Devil. For my father, digital photography was never going to take off. Let’s make sure that for us, virtual-physical hybrid is a curve we are ready to take.”
