Brooklyn ➡️ Northbrook

I haven’t posted anything personal on here for a long time, and it’s time to officially announce that I’ve relocated my business to Northbrook, Illinois while still serving the New York area as a secondary location! Olker Wedding Photo’s video team will remain New York based. I ❤️ NY and visiting for work or pleasure is something I’m always thrilled to do! I miss all of my clients and Central Park shoots!

Exactly one year ago today we relocated our family from New York to Illinois into a temporary living arrangement. It was an overwhelming and bittersweet time to close a chapter so dear to my heart. Now, we’ve purchased our first home and this move hits different because it’s nothing but excitement! We’re so privileged to be in this position and as a mom I’m so incredibly relieved to finally establish roots and community for my son! We’re looking forward to our future lifestyle in Chicagos North Shore 🏠💜🖤💛

Meet THE OWNER My fondest early childhood memories consisted of wandering around our backyard with a cheap, point-and-shoot camera that quickly transitioned into an obsession. I couldn’t leave the house without my camera. The obsession became realized as an artistic talent in high school when I started taking film photography courses, working in the dark room with my beloved Cannon AE-1. Due to the support of high school teachers, family, friends, and passion, my studies continued through college. At the age of 26 I dived in the digital realm and started my own photography business, which is a career aspiration I have held since my teens. I am dedicated, committed, and passionate about photography. What motivates me is capturing the positive interactions of people. Happiness is addicting and I like to capture it in its most pure form; thus, my style is a combination of photojournalism and creative portraiture. Why create a smile when you can capture it as it exists naturally, beautifully? I am passionate about that moment. Your moments. And photography.
