I haven’t posted anything personal on here for a long time, and it’s time to officially announce that I’ve relocated my business to Northbrook, Illinois while still serving the New York area as a secondary location! Olker Wedding Photo’s video team will remain New York based. I ❤️ NY and visiting for work or pleasure is something I’m always thrilled to do! I miss all of my clients and Central Park shoots!

More on my big news below…

Exactly one year ago today we relocated our family from New York to Illinois into a temporary living arrangement. It was an overwhelming and bittersweet time to close a chapter so dear to my heart. Now, we’ve purchased our first home and this move hits different because it’s nothing but excitement! We’re so privileged to be in this position and as a mom I’m so incredibly relieved to finally establish roots and community for my son! We’re looking forward to our future lifestyle in Chicagos North Shore 🏠💜🖤💛

My heart 💜 is so full and I love my clients!!! It was an honor to be hired by these lovely people and travel to Lake George, New York, and direct creative portraits in the most beautiful ⛰️ mountainous setting. Lake George was breathtaking and the weather held out lovely for the first look and creative portraits ❤️ For them, photography and being comfortable with their artist was a top priority… sometimes the strongest romantic bonds are best shared with four. ❤️ 🏳️‍🌈 Thank you for trusting me with your big day, your lifestyle and identity, and for taking me to one of my favorite scenic spots to visit in the country. I fully enjoyed the romantic and free flowing engagement shoot vibes with Abby and Dave . They’re a highly spontaneous couple that prioritizes adventure, laughs and living life to the fullest. Because of this we did a bunch of experimental slow shutter shots to create a visceral effect. The location they chose has tropical vibes via the style of plant life and waterfalls, and features a beautiful lagoon. I felt we were in a tropical space more than the big city in Chicago’s North Park Village Nature Center. The sun was shining and their shoot felt like a dreamy fairytale... specifically a fairy forest vibe. Abby has blue hair and colorful tattoos, and this location made her style pop. I loved this location, and hope to shoot there again soon! Thank you for hiring me, and I’m so delighted to be selected from the many to shoot your wedding next July!!!! I fully enjoyed meeting you both irl it was a pleasure to collaborate 💜💛🖤

Couples… when choosing your engagement location, always consider the type of stuff you and your partner like to do. Are you typically at home? Let’s shoot there! Do you love nature? I’ll help you choose a park or hiking trail. Do you love the city? Let’s shoot on the streets. If you two love a mix of city and nature, I ALWAYS recommend Central Park. It’s gorgeous and a consistent client pleaser!

Have I mentioned that I love line and shape? It’s a beautiful thing when they intersect and architecture is a great way to frame a photo. Can’t get more classic than the Bethesda Terrace in Central Park. I ❤️ NY

Spring is personally my favorite season here in New York bc I’m obsessed w vivid colors (hello 🌸!!!), and when helping my clients plan their session I always encourage them to consider what is unique in their relationship so we can incorporate that (w Courtney and Adam it’s their mutual passion for picnics and reading… scroll to see their adorable reading sesh) AND I also work to understand their favorite color palettes to help them choose the best season for shooting. We have big news! 🍼🤰🚨 📰 My partner and I are excited to announce we’re officially starting our family this Christmas with a baby boy! We’ve been together 14 years and dated for 7 before getting married, so it makes sense we needed another 7 to warm up to the biggest life transition - parenting. We can’t wait to meet him and are already in love 🥰… those little morning kicks ❤️

Feeling excited 😆 for the craziest, most demanding but fulfilling adventure yet. 🙌 I can’t believe it’s only two months away!

I loved working on Tiffany and Robert’s beautiful Manhattan wedding this past Saturday! There was a bit of rain but it never stopped their excitement and love all day! And we got great shots in Union Square with no one around… it turned out just perfect 😍 ❤️ Enjoy these pics

Last weekend we captured an epic walking shot with the sun ☀️ shining bright in the background, just like their love! Deonna and Jairo are the goofy fun-loving type and during our photoshoots you can always expect Jairo to say strange things under his breath to make Deonna laugh. He keeps her on her toes. She keeps him organized. Together they’re very in love. Their story started at work in the healthcare industry where they started to get to know each other at holiday office parties. The rest is history. He proposed to her last May on their vacation in Tulum, and their siblings had to keep this secret for a whole week! They also honeymooned in Mexico, so it is a favorite destination for them.

They both have such a strong connection to their family. The first look between Deonna and her mother brought tears to my eyes, and again when I was editing those joyful photos. Jairo and his mother have a close bond too, he cried during the mother-son dance. Deonna has such a strong connection to Jairo that she immediately burst into tears during their first dance as husband and wife. It was special to witness their interactions. They never stopped smiling during their first look either, I have so many photos with glassy eyes and ear to ear smiles on both sides. The scenery was beautiful, it truly couldn’t have been more picture-perfect.

Deonna wore a sophisticated but understated a-line dress that was perfectly her by David’s Bridal with comfy white shoes by Bella Belle. What stood out and was so unique about the decor were the beautiful large, yellow sunflowers by Lee Ann Flowers.

I have a passion for chandeliers that is matched by Charlene’s ❤️ 🖤 we set up this shot with OCF and executed within 5 minutes, and a minute to spare before their rehearsal ceremony. Have to love that timing! This shot is timeless elegance
