Our approach is to blend in and capture the moments as they unfold in the most fun and exciting way possible! Services include both photography + films. We provide images at high resolution without any extra cost.

There’s something incredibly special about backyard weddings—the intimacy, personal touches, and the charm of a family home. Hayli & Aidan’s wedding in Aidan’s childhood backyard in Kinnelon, NJ, was a perfect example. 🌿💍

Their love story began at an airport, leading to a life-changing trip to Nepal. Fast forward, they exchanged vows under a moss-covered arch, surrounded by family, including Aidan’s 99-year-old grandmother. An Australian monk’s blessing made it even more special. 🙏✨

Capturing these heartfelt moments was a joy. From the tearful vows under fairy lights to the joyful toasts, every detail was filled with love and history.

Hot tip from a photographer who’s been shooting weddings full time for years 13 years.

Wet weather doesn’t have to ruin your wedding day! If you plan right (make sure you book a venue with beautiful wet weather options, lots of natural light & windows, and book a photographer who’s willing to roll with the punches and get creative) you’ll still have the best day ever, and love your photos even more.

One more thing….I’ve shot soooooo many wet weather weddings and the best ones are usually when the bride isn’t afraid to get her dress a little dirty, her hair a little wet and they’ve put said👆🏻 plans to into action.

I know you’ve spent a lot of money on your wedding dress & hair/ makeup but the photos will be worth it in the end if you let loose and embrace the rain 💗

Usually I suggest waiting until after the ceremony / night time to really embrace the rain if you’re down - that way you’re usually more chill, can really just let you’re hair down have fun and party. Maybe even bring a outfit chamge to dance in that you don’t mind getting wet / shorter won’t trail on the ground.

Before the wedding was the engagement pics! Swipe to the end to see the studio shots we included in this session!! We did 15 mins inside then headed outside for 30-40 mins of portraits around downtown Jersey City.

This shoot took place one week before the big day as Nicole & Matt live in Switzerland and didn’t have the opportunity to shoot any earlier. Regardless of the timing it was still so worthwhile to do a little portrait session together beforehand so we weren’t strangers on the wedding day. It really makes such a difference!!

South House, tucked right in the lively heart of Downtown Jersey City, sets the stage for an absolute gem of a location. The interiors are a visual feast, decked out with lush velvet couches and walls that boast textured wallpaper, adding warmth and charm. Beyond just the cozy vibes, it infused loads of character into the photos, creating timeless memories for my couple Shari & Donny.

Going for an indoor spot with a snug vibe during winter engagement shoots comes with heaps of perks. Firstly, it dodges the wild wet weather, making sure everyone stays comfy and dry. Being indoors means you get a controlled setup – consistent lighting and no battling the elements. Plus, these venues usually bring some unique style to the table, adding that extra charm to the pics and a break from the chilly outdoors. It’s all about picking a sweet indoor space that amps up the creativity, making the whole shoot a great experience for the loved-up couple.

During the session I often suggest to my couples to bring an outfit change as it adds a splash of excitement to the photos. It’s not just about rocking different looks but also capturing the diverse sides of your personalities. It adds a bit of spice and variety to the pics, making the whole album more dynamic and reflective of who you are as a couple. Plus, it’s a bit like having a mini fashion show with your partner – double the fun, double the memories!

I make it a point to mix things up during the session, aiming for a bunch of options – diverse backdrops, a mix of posed and candid shots. It’s all about keeping it real and not too formal. Yes we are trying to take beautiful photos together but it’s also a chance for us to connect, especially if it’s our first face-to-face meet before the big day. An engagement session is more than just a photoshoot – It is a laid-back opportunity to break the ice and get comfortable, so when the wedding day rolls around, it feels like we’re old mates capturing the next chapter.

Before I moved to the US I used to also offer photo booths inspired by my time working with the awesome team at @studiosomething .This was one of the first weddings I shot under my own brand and with the help of my little sister @katmargarita we were able to create this super fun stop motion film of all the action.
