This past Saturday, I was fortunate to officiate Brianda Gonzalez and Adam Gefkovicz beautiful wedding at Glenmere Mansion. Not even the heavy rain could dampen this gorgeous couple's and guests' spirits. I was so inspired, that I decided to record a little video as soon as I got home.

I share an office with my husband, Paul. I am on Zoom calls throughout the day... meeting potential clients or practicing vows and ceremonies with existing ones. Paul often hears people professing their undying love to me across the screen!
In the 5 years since I founded The Vow Whisperer, my emotional responses are still the same. It never grows old. I continue to be touched and moved to tears so easily.
Often, I tell my husband and whomever is listening, that officiating a wedding is like a performance for me. Having had a wonderful, but too short acting career, doing a wedding ceremony is like a mini one-act play. For 25 minutes, I get to hold a room. I feel the energy of the audience or rather guests and often riff off of that. And for that short bit of time, I’m the star again. I’ve practiced the monologue and here I am hoping to engage, capture, and enrapture everyone, even for just a fleeting moment.
I miss my acting days a lot, but it’s ok to be doing this now. Between coaching couples with their vows, officiating weddings, and helping friends and family members officiate, my life is full. My work life is full, rather. And it’s work that is a calling in so many ways.
From what my couples tell me, I’ve made a big impact on their lives…yes, perhaps also for just a fleeting moment.
I will continue doing this as long as the tears keep flowing. As long as I can make an emotional dent in peoples’ hearts and as long as I can pretend to still be on a stage.
