Anybody noticed Q's new tutorial is based on the same as our new tutorial?! Very Cool! Ours is a scribble 2click aka tip orbit that can also be a scribble twiddle ....Q's is very cool, A double chirp to Crescent flare! My cut can go much faster however do the spacing of the clicks ..we will restart the calendar this month. Gave Q a half a year start. Already in our 50 or so days I dropped a lot of new cuts Q has never done. I was able to create a whole new realm of combos based on changing the classic chirp flare to lots of hybrids by replacing the chirp with a scribble and the flare with other cuts...This is exciting!!!

aka (Day 46 :: 9-11-24) :: The Scribble Flare skratch is an old school cut, invented by in the late 80's, that thousands of turntablists around the world can execute live . Although it can be tricky to pick up, its simple and easy to learn when you start off slow. Since its an open fader cut that makes 6 sounds using only one click in total, it can go super fast over beats of any speed or cross-rhythm.

The Scribble-Chirp or Tip-Chirp

1. First start with the crossfader in the open position.
2. Second perform a Scribble using half the sample or less by pushing the record forward & backwards twice quckly ending in the openfader position. (The full scribble should be the same length of the Chirp that comes after it)
3. Third do a Chirp by pushing the record forward & add a click at the sample end point.
4. Fourth pull the record back to the original starting point ending with the crossfader open in the open position.

(Day 49 :: 9-10-24) :: The 3 Click Chinmachine skratch is a nu school cut that only a handful of people around the world can execute. Its a very tricky but easy to learn when you start off slow. Since its a sextuplet time open fader cut that makes 12 sounds using 6 clicks in total, it can go super fast over beats in doubletime and crossrhythms. It also works great with juggles & drum cuts.

The 3 Click Chinmachine Skratch

1. First do a short sextuplet time using about half or less of the sound buy pushing the record forward then pull back to the starting point with the fader open.
2. Second do a using the whole sound by pushing the record & adding clicks at the 25%, 50% & 75% points ending at the end of the sample with the fader open.
3. Third do a short sextuplet time using about half or less of the sound buy pulling the record backwards then pushing it forward to the starting point with the fader open.
4. Fourth do a using the whole sound by pulling back the record & adding clicks at the 25%, 50% & 75% points ending at the start of the sample with the fader open.

Day 44 :: (9-9-24) :: The 3 Click Tangent is another slept on cut that only a handful of djs around the world can execute. Its a bit tricky yet easy to learn when you start off slow. Since its an open fader cut that makes 12 sounds using only 6 evenly spaced continous clicks and 4 tears in total, it can go fast over beats of any speed in when used in triplet time. Many mistake this cut for consecutive half Flare skratches when its over a beat since the continuous clicking patterns are similar.

3 Click Tangent

1. First start with the crossfader in the open position.
2. Second push the record forward and add a click at the 16.6% point , a tear at the 33% point, a click at the 50% point, a tear at 66% point, a click at the 83.3% point of the sample ending with the fader open at the end of the sample.
3. Third pull the record backwards and add a click at the 16.6% point , a tear at the 33% point, a click at the 50% point, a tear at 66% point, a click at the 83.3% point of the sample ending with the fader open at the start of the sample.

Day 43 :: (9-8-24) :: The 5 Triplet Click Orbit is a nu school cut that a select handful of turntablists can execute. Its very tricky to learn so start off slow. Since its an open fader cut that makes 12 sounds using 10 sextuplet time clicks in total, it can go fast as a crossrhytmn, triplet or sextuplet. It can also sound like fast transforming over fast beats due to the amount clicking yet can go faster since there is no click on the first sound.

5TC Orbit aka

1. First start with the crossfader in the open position.
2. Second push the record forward and add clicks at the 16.66%, 33.3%, 50%, 66% & 83.33% points of the sample ending with the fader open at the end of the sample.
3. Third pull the record backwards and add clicks at the 16.66%, 33.3%, 50%, 66% & 83.33% points of the sample ending with the fader open at the starting point of the sample.
