A message from long-time Coney Island resident, Brother Ron, regarding the proposed casino. Listen carefully...we do not want a casino in Coney Island!
Fun fact: As a child, Brother Ron used to help out the sideshow performers at Rosen's Wonderland Circus Sideshow, which was housed in our very own landmarked building. He'd often pick up lunch for them during show hours when the cast were unable to leave.
An important message about how this proposed casino could impact the beloved Mermaid Parade...and how you can help...

The final vote on the street demapping for the casino will be decided by Coney Island's Councilman, Justin Brannan, who is running for NYC Comptroller this year.
This is your chance to ask Councilman Brannan if he’s going give away the streets of Coney Island to the billionaire casino developer, or if he is going to stand with the community and protect Coney Island,
The Brooklyn Democratic Public Advocate and Comptroller Forum is this Thursday, February 6th at 7:00 PM.
