This is my first Mother’s Day,
and it truly feels like a dream.
I was born to be a mom. And just when I thought that dream might not come true, and when I started to lose hope at 40. God, You blessed me with Zaylie.

Becoming her mom has changed everything.
Her little smile is my light.
Her heartbeat keeps me steady.

These past few months haven’t been easy. I’ve been through so much… but I didn’t fall. Because you, Zaylie, gave me the strength to stand and the reason to keep going.

God pulled us through that day I gave birth, for a reason.
We were meant to stay.
Meant to shine.
Meant to make a difference in this wild, unpredictable world.

It’s just us now.
Us against the world.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms and also the ones that aren’t who are like mother.
