Newburyport attorney Judy Field got a special visit from Gingerbread Jack at her office on Pleasant Street. He came to thank her for leading the way to a successful season as a Royal Icing Sponsor of the 2nd Annual Port Gingerbread Festival. Judy's got a soft spot for gingerbread in her heart, having baked with her grandmother when she was just a wee child growing up in Byfield. (The sign in the photo is a tell that she's a local native!) Thanks, Judy, from the whole team at Port Gingerbread Festival!

Greater Newburyport Adult & Community Education
(GNACE) to offer a class called "Build an Enchanting
Gingerbread House" (sold out since August!) Congrats
to all participants and many thanks to GNACE, to
Congregation Ahavas Achim for use of their space, and
to our own dedicated volunteers who set the stage to
make the magic happen!

A rainbow of sparkling sugars? That was my first take! Actually a display of tiny beads for traditional Native needlework, for sale at the Cameron Trading Post near the Navajo reservation in Arizona. Lots of inspiration here for gingerbread makers: cliff dwellings, pueblos, hogans, log homes...Gingerbread mind is a real thing!
