🌟 A Partnership Rooted in Community 🌟

The Port Gingerbread Festival is thrilled to announce that Nourishing the North Shore has been selected as our 2026 Designated Beneficiary!

This partnership feels like a perfect fit because, at our core, both organizations believe in the power of community. While the Port Gingerbread Festival brings people together through creativity, tradition, and the joy of the holiday season, Nourishing the North Shore works year-round to ensure everyone in our community has access to healthy, local food in a way that builds community, fosters connection, and promotes dignity.

Since 2015, Nourishing the North Shore has grown into an incredible community resource, working with local farms, volunteers, and hunger relief partners across 10 North Shore communities. Each year they:
🥕 Donate more than 70,000 pounds of fresh produce
🍎 Provide approximately 280,000 servings of fruits and vegetables
💚 Serve nearly 3,000 individuals every week, helping make healthy, local food accessible to those who need it most.

By attending this year’s festival, you’ll not only experience the magic and creativity of incredible gingerbread creations, you’ll also help support an organization making a meaningful difference right here on the North Shore.

The holiday magic may still be a few months away, but we’ve been busy behind the scenes getting everything ready for this year’s Port Gingerbread Festival! 🎄🏠✨

Last Sunday, some of our Board members had the honor of marching in the Yankee Homecoming Parade, and what an incredible day it was! We loved seeing so many smiling faces from Newburyport and surrounding communities celebrating together.

Thank you to everyone who waved, cheered, and stopped to say hello, we’re so grateful for your support!
Now the countdown to the Festival is officially on... and we have some exciting things coming your way!

🎅 Our Gingerbread Workshop dates will be announced soon! These workshops are one of our most popular events and spots fill up quickly, so be sure you’re following us so you don’t miss the announcement.

Whether you’re dreaming of creating your very first gingerbread masterpiece or you’re a seasoned builder ready for another holiday season, we can’t wait to share all that’s in store.

The Port Gingerbread Festival is more than a holiday event…it’s a celebration of creativity, community, and giving back.

Every December, gingerbread artists of all ages and skill levels come together to showcase their edible creations, inspiring wonder and spreading holiday magic throughout our community.

Some fun facts about us:
In 2025, we were honored to feature: 🎄 45 unique gingerbread creations 👥 More than 1,300 visitors over festival weekend ❤️and $19,403 has been donated to local charities since the festival began

Our mission is simple: to create a fun, inviting community event that welcomes everyone, whether you’re an experienced gingerbread artist or someone who’s never picked up a piping bag. We want you to experience the joy, creativity, and connection that gingerbreading brings... and if we’re lucky, you’ll catch the gingerbreading bug right along with us! 🍬✨

Whether you plan to create, volunteer, sponsor, or simply visit, there’s a place for you at the Port Gingerbread Festival.
