Happy Birthday George Washington Benson! An American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He began his professional career at the age of 19 as a jazz guitarist.

A former child prodigy, Benson first came to prominence in the 1960s, playing soul jazz with Jack McDuff and others. He then launched a successful solo career, alternating between jazz, pop, R&B singing, and s**t singing. His album Breezin' was certified triple-platinum, hitting no. 1 on the Billboard album chart in 1976.[4] His concerts were well attended through the 1980s, and he still has a large following.[4] Benson has won ten Grammy Awards and has been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Brooke Ishibashi (Florinda) is a fourth-generation Japanese American, hailing from a showbiz family. As a professional actor and singer, she originated and developed the role of Neary in CAMBODIAN ROCK BAND and is passionate about exploring anti-racism, social justice, and trans-generational trauma. She is the co-founder of Be An /Arts Workers United, working toward recovery for the 5.2 million+ arts workers in the United States.

Anna Harada (Jack's Mother) was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is best known for playing Christmas Eve in the Broadway and West End productions of AVENUE Q and stepsister Charlotte in RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN’S CINDERELLA.

Kennedy Kanagawa (Milky White) was born in Tokyo to a Japanese businessman and a Mississippi redhead. Today, Kennedy is a New York City-based performer, where he continues to fulfill his passion of creating meaningful art across its many forms. Making his City Center debut, his recent credits include LAST SHIP TO PROXIMA CENTAURI at Portland Stage and GOLD MOUNTAIN at Utah Shakespeare Festival.

Albert Guerzon (Cinderella’s Father) returns to City Center after the recent Encores! production of THE LIFE. Broadway credits include MAMMA MIA!, GHOST, HONEYMOON IN VEGAS, and ESCAPE TO MARGARTIAVILLE. As a singer, he performs his original music across NYC. He is a member of , a campaign dedicated to empowering all Asian and Asian Americans to take pride and change the conversation about belonging in America.
