I’m often tired and ready to wind things down by the time weddings, but I could’ve hung out with this crew for much longer! You were all a lot of fun!

Kylie and Hunter had the most beautiful wedding day Saturday.

I started working with Kylie almost a year ago to plan my part in her big day. After a FaceTime call with her and her mom, Tricia, I knew that today was going to be something special and a lot of fun!

The venue, Overlook at the Vista, made the perfect setting for the sweet memories of vows exchanged and the reception to celebrate the new Mr. and Mrs. Steger!

Hurricane Helene changed a lot of plans in the CSRA. What seemed certain at one time became a scramble to happen. Krista and Christian’s wedding was one of those things. I reached out to the mother of the bride later in the weekend Helene came through to let her know I was still able to DJ her daughter’s wedding. She thanked me and told me she just didn’t know how things were looking.

As we entered a new week, plans started coming together again. What, at one point, was looking like it could be a candlelight ceremony at their church saw power restored there. What was once a reception at a location that was repurposed for citywide relief efforts ended up taking place in the annex of their church.

Plans changed. Family and friends from all over came in and pulled together to make the best of the new surroundings. Cleanup efforts got the new location ready in time. And as was always the plan, Krista and Christian became Mr. and Mrs. Bumpus on October 5, 2024.

It was an honor to be there with you all! It was a pleasure to be a part of this sense of normalcy in a time of such uncertainty in our area. May every day of your marriage bring new victories, just as you experienced on your wedding day!

The bad news: The sign says karaoke tonight, but the 7 PM curfew and the need to get the area more cleaned up and more services restored say otherwise. We’ll be back at it October 26!

The good news: Draft Society Taproom is open RIGHT NOW, along with several other businesses downtown! Come in and get your devices charged, enjoy the brews on tap and selection of non-alcoholic beverages as well, grab a board game to play and pass the time, and do so in the AC! 875 Broad St, Augusta, GA 30901

August wrapped up with quite a lot of wedded bliss!

On 8/22, I got to work with Drop The Mic Productions and The I Do Girl, along with Tammy Boswell Newman Photography and BBQ Barn, for Stephanie and John’s big day at The Southern Barn at Neely Farms in Hephzibah, GA.

There wasn’t much time between that and 8/24 when I headed to Rye Patch in Aiken, SC to help Alexis and Orren enjoy their beginning as husband and wife. It was also great working with Tiffany Morris Photography at this one!

Fast forward a week, and I was back at Neely Farms for Rachel and Albie’s wedding reception, teaming up with Rohdy Events & Design, JW Impressions: Photobooth Experience LLC, ABC Bartending Services, A Family Affair Catering, and Captured by Courtney Photography & Video, LLC to pull off a super fun evening.

Thank you to everyone for letting me get to be a part of your most precious of memories. Here’s to a lifetime of love for all of these newlyweds!

Last Wednesday was such a fun and special evening of providing music and karaoke for Major and Ma O'Neal's, the owners of Rally Point Grille Evans GA, vow renewal at their restaurant! So many shared their love for them, and seeing moments discussed ahead of time come to life was pure joy. I'm also glad I got to work alongside Dave "Muz" Mercer, who played them down the aisle to a video Tiffany ("Ma") selected especially for Kelly ("Major"). Congratulations on 15 years together, and here's to a lifetime more!
