I suppose everyone may not already be planning for next season but I am for sure!
I just put a huge order in for plugs and way more than I need so if anyone is interested, here is a list of each cut flower and how many of each I will have available for sale next May for planting out after all danger of frost is passed. This past weekend was my last wedding for the season. As always, I didn't get the best pics!

It was the perfect day and the venue is absolutely gorgeous. It was decorated perfectly for a story book wedding. Best of luck to the happy couple!

It's a sad day for the garden. The frost has hit my dahlias and marks the end of the season. It truly has been an amazing journey this year and I look forward to next season. We have a lot of cool stuff planned and we will have an even better selection for the U-Pick. I hope to see you all then!

For fun I picked up some of these skull planters to do some flower skulls instead of pumpkins for the Halloween season. Flowers are fresh cut.

Well the U Pick went great yesterday for the first hour until the rain started. Some people even came in their raincoat and boots to cut but it just never stopped. We sure needed it though. Thank you to everyone who came out!
Hopefully we will be able to fit at least one more U Pick day in this season.
We will be open regular U-Pick hours next year and we will also be offering educational gardening workshops, small weddings or elopements, garden parties and more. Looking forward to the seasons to come!

I have loads of sunflowers available if anyone would like to pick some up. $1 each! Most of them are perfect bouquet size. Not too huge.

It was a great weekend at Yankee Peddler. I really enjoy watching everyone make their bouquets. It's so fun to see the joy flowers bring to men, women and children of all ages. Many couples, friends and families made bouquets together. One girl even stopped to make one for her boyfriend. I thought that was so sweet and it made me think. It is not often a man has flowers given to him but it is certainly a good idea and something I hope to see more of. Flowers just make anyone happy and can change a mood just like that! Try taking someone flowers and not have them smile!! They are a little bit like magic!!
I am kind of sad that there is only one weekend left....🙁

If your flowers are only opening half way, or your buds are squishy or falling off before they bloom, you could be dealing with tarnished plant bugs or leafhoppers. Unfortunately for me, I have both wreaking havoc on my dahlias. This is what they look like. They are very tiny. I do not use any chemicals so I am hoping nature will just work it out. Fingers crossed the good bugs catch the bad guys!
