In 2024, I took a step I never imagined I would — sharing my weight loss journey with the whole dang internet. At first, it was scary and here’s a hard truth - I lost more followers than I could have imagined.

Now, it’s become a part of my regular content on here, and I can’t tell you how much it’s meant to me to share this part of my life with you as my page has grown to be quite a mix of personal growth and high end wedding designs.

To those of you who first followed me for my work and have also embraced this personal side of my life, thank you. The messages, encouragement, and support I’ve received have been overwhelming in the best way and have kept me going on the hard days.

Whether you’re here for weddings, my health journey, or a little of both, I’m so thankful you’re following along. Sharing this with you has been a gift I never expected, and I’m excited to continue growing together - both in myself and in my work - in 2025. 💕

We opened the books for 2026 last week and are officially kicking it off with two consult calls today. I couldn’t be more excited to start dreaming up beautiful weddings with our future couples!

I thought it might be helpful to share a little about how our booking process works. Here’s what you can expect when working with us:

✨ Step 1: Inquiry
Fill out the inquiry form on our website with some basic information about your wedding.

✨ Step 2: Info Packet
We’ll send you an information packet, which includes details about our process, minimums, pricing structure, and portfolio.

✨ Step 3: Client Questionnaire
If you think we’re a good fit, complete our client questionnaire to share more details about your vision and how we can assist. There’s a full wishlist where you can check off every item we could possibly make for you.

✨ Step 4: Consult Call
Once we review your questionnaire, we’ll schedule a consult call to chat through your wish list, brainstorm ideas, and answer any questions you have.

✨ Step 5: Proposal
After the call, we’ll send you a fully custom proposal, like an interactive shopping experience where you can prioritize your budget and build your dream package.

✨ Step 6: Booking
When you’re ready, just sign your contract, pay your deposit, and we’re officially part of your vendor team!

We’ve designed this process to make planning as seamless and enjoyable as possible—and to ensure that your day feels uniquely yours. Let’s make magic happen!

Over the past year, we’ve been gathering inquiries on our waitlist, and last night we were thrilled to send our 2026 details to over 75 excited couples! This morning, we’re buzzing with excitement as we review their questionnaires and schedule consultation calls to start dreaming up all the special details. After over 40 weddings this year, here’s our top ten seating chart designs! 💗 well for now…we have a really fun design coming up for NYE that will definitely be a favorite!

Your seating chart works as the centerpiece of your cocktail hour, providing guests an experience they won’t forget as they find their table assignment - and a pretty photo op to boot.

Some of couples opt for a classic es**rt card (beautiful and will never go out of style!), but most of the time they dream BIG. Our favorite projects are big, statement installations that stop your guests dead in their tracks. 🤍

Fun fact: While your caterer and venue likely requires your seating assignments about four weeks out from the wedding, we allow you to make changes up until the week of. That’s when the magic begins. ✨

Take it from me - small nods, like R+A’s custom wedding logo, helps your event feel branded and cohesive from beginning to end 🤍 we first introduced the intertwined RA design in their drink charms at their welcome party the night before and continued it in their seating chart, card box, petal toss cones, reserved row markers and small signage.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a proper introduction! I’m Emily, the creative mind behind Something Borrowed, a custom signage and stationery company that brings wedding dreams to life through thoughtful, personalized details.

Beyond my business, I’m passionate about fostering community. I’ve been working hard to create spaces where creative business owners can connect, support each other, and cheer each other on, because this industry is better when we lift each other up.

On the more personal side? I’m a mom to two incredible kids and two pups: Maverick, an old-soul shepherd mix puppy, and Tessa, my wild chocolate lab. I’m also a massive Taylor Swift fan (Swiftie for life 🖤), love Diet Coke, and live for gatherings with friends, whether it’s going out for apps and drinks or a full-blown party (details are my love language, after all).

My husband Derek has been working with me full time for three years and is the muscle (plus a whole lot labor) behind everything you see. We’ve been together for thirteen years and he was the first person to believe in what SB could be.

Fun facts:
💐 I grew up in a flower shop.
🚴‍♀️ I’ve never learned to ride a bike.
💪 I’m on a massive health journey and this close to losing 100 pounds—proof that small milestones add up to big wins!
⛵️ Newport isn’t just where most of our weddings are, it’s our favorite place on earth.
🕒 I’m a last-minute, type-B, undiagnosed ADHD kind of person (and somehow it works).

At the heart of everything I do, I believe in creating the life you want, with joy and intentionality, one step at a time. Whether I’m designing the perfect wedding details or chasing big dreams, that mindset keeps me going.

This Thanksgiving, my heart is full of gratitude. 💛

I’m endlessly thankful for my family and friends, who are my greatest support system, and for the couples and vendor partners who trust me with some of the most special moments of their lives. Your belief in my work means more than I can ever put into words.

This year feels different, though. For the first time, I’m also deeply thankful for me — for my strength, my determination, and the courage it’s taken to change my life in ways I never thought possible. It’s been a season of growth, and I’m learning to celebrate the journey just as much as the milestones.

Here’s to all of us finding reasons to be proud and thankful for how far we’ve come. Happy Thanksgiving, from my family to yours. 🦃✨

Emily and Dan’s New Hampshire mountain wedding was a color lover’s dream. Their palette, which felt like the sunset, combined bold fall hues with the warmth of summer, creating the most vibrant and joyful celebration. ✨

We worked closely with their planner , to ensure their vision came to life, creating everything from the save the dates and invitations that set the tone to every last day of detail that connected it all together. From the welcome signage, seating chart, table numbers, napkins, reserved signs, and more - the details were as endless as their joy.

It was an absolute pleasure to travel to New Hampshire to see it all come together!
