Garlic Scapes 🧄 the bonus treat before the actual garlic harvest. Scapes are the edible flower stalk of hard neck garlic plants. There are numerous ways to eat them fresh or preserve them. We have already made risotto with some of ours and plan to make pesto and butter with the rest!

What a wonderful weekend at Luckey Road Lavender Farm 's festival! It’s rare to feel SO at home at a market venue. Thank you for being such thoughtful hosts!

Working markets is not for the faint of heart and this weekend was no exception; the weather, the hours, the last minute prepping, packing, schlepping things every which way. But there are so many reasons it’s worth it and the people are the main one. Fellow vendors, we get each other in the wildest ways and we are some of each other’s best customers. The market coordinators that take so little but give so much to see their vendors succeed, and lastly the customers, new and old you always show up and give new appreciation to the work and effort that all the vendors put in! 💐 Thank you!

Yesterday was the 2nd Annual Women’s Leadership Luncheon hosted by Chamber of Commerce of Sandusky County. The room was full of incredible women from all types of industries in our community; leaders, creators, doers.

As a woman-owned business, partnering on an event like this was an easy and wholehearted “yes.” Over the past year and a half, I’ve been so grateful for the way this community has welcomed and supported me, so being able to give that support back when I can is so important to me. I’m so thankful to be building something here, alongside so many amazing women.

Hi! I thought I’d start sharing a little peek into what’s growing on around here each week. The big push of summer planting is wrapping up and now we watch, water, and wait for all the summer heat loving annuals that fill your summer bouquets.

In the meantime, some cooler weather flowers are blooming right now like Bachelor’s Button and Yarrow which get planted in the fall, put down strong roots over winter, and get a head start come spring.

This week Peonies are making their special appearance of the year. Short, but SO sweet.

If you want to be consistently humbled, enter into business with Mother Nature. It sure will make you more resilient. This spring has been a biiit soggy, seedlings have sat in water and other things that "should" have been planted by now, aren't. There's not one thing I can do about it. When everything is lush with blooms come July, we won't even be thinking about these challenging days in the beginning.
