Before I change into Christmas pajamas, fill a big plate up with cookies, and take a much needed rest, I have to acknowledge how much this year has meant to me. I started the year with an LLC, some savings, and a dream to start a local fresh cut flower business and with every season that has passed there has been a new first, from tulips, opening the farm stand, the first CSA bouquet subscriptions, farmers markets, workshops, special events, straight into pumpkins and ending with evergreen wreaths, every idea I had on paper when this year started somehow became a reality and I am so grateful and so proud of myself for pushing through the uglier parts that actually make a business run to make it not only happen, but successfully.

I moved to this town knowing nearly no one and I have met SO many people that have made it home. To every one that has shown up for me this year, whether buying flowers every week or simply liking a post or telling someone about my flowers, it’s all played a roll in helping me grow. The biggest thank you goes to Drew and my parents for always rolling up their sleeves without me asking and just watching me be happy as their reward.

With thousands of tulip bulbs planted just outside and seeds ready to be started when 2025 arrives. The best is yet to come.

The cold weather is finally catching us. All the Dahlia tubers are dug, split, and tucked away for winter storage until we do it all again next year! They are a crop that takes a lot of time and effort on both ends of the season, but they’re worth it!
