Are you a Lights Out or Maine Crafts Association member? Did you know you can apply to the festival free of charge?

We are thrilled to be partnering with Maine Crafts Association to offer a special benefit for the 2025 Norway Maine Arts Festival. Both Lights Out and Maine Craft Association Members will have the $15 application fee waived for this year’s festival!

The deadline for submissions is Monday, March 31st

Lights Out Gallery is excited to launch the 2025 Norway Maine Arts Festival Poster Design Competition. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Dirigo Federal Credit Union, we’re excited to expand the competition this year to include high school students from across Oxford County, offering an even greater platform to showcase the incredible artistic talent in our community.

The winning student will:
Have their design featured as the official poster for the 2025 Norway Maine Arts Festival.
Receive a $500 cash prize
Collaborate with our Creative Director to refine their design.

Here are the key details:
Who Can Participate: High school students in Oxford County
Submission Deadline: Friday, March 7th, 2025
Winner Announcement: Monday, March 17th, 2025
How to Submit: Students can submit their designs directly via the festival website.

Welcome to the 2025 Norway Maine Arts Festival. We are excited to foster a space where the greater community can come together to participate, learn, and support the Maine arts community.

Lights Out Gallery is excited to present the Norway Maine Arts Festival on September 13th, 2025– the first time organizing this historic festival originating in the 1960s. While staying true to the roots of showcasing local artists, craftspeople, performers, and food to the community, Lights Out is reenergizing the festival through their keen marketing know-how and vast connections of creators in Maine. They are confident in bringing together an arts experience showcasing the talent and craftsmanship across Maine.

The festival, which historically has been held in July, has been moved to the second weekend of September to accommodate concerns from local businesses, packed artist schedules, and temperamental summer weather. Lights Out has run programming in September for the past two years, the 2023 group art show Little Sparks and the recent Norway Block Party and is confident that the date change will be a favorable change.
Project Coordinator of Creative Oxford Hills and former Arts Festival Director Jess Cooper has stated, “Having worked directly with the Lights Out team, we are confident they will be heartily invested in the continuing success and evolution of the event. They have deep connections in the world of art, are savvy in business as owners of their own establishment, and as Norway residents they are working directly with the community the event means to serve.”

Registration for vendors will open tomorrow.

Reminder that the Norway Music and Arts Festival that was scheduled for today in downtown Norway is postponed until tomorrow, Sunday, July 14th, 10-4.

Thanks for the patience and understanding! A lot of work goes into this event and moving it to the rain date was not an easy decision.

A lot of folks have been asking if the WFLT Triathlon is still on for tomorrow. Head over (rain or shine) to support this amazing event that completely sold out of spots!

We love sharing the day with the Tri and while the events typically compliment each other, our decision to move the event is based on several different weather factors that the Tri can continue on with while we cannot.

Thanks again to the community for understanding and we are wishing everyone a fantastic and safe time tomorrow for the 2024 Triathlon!

Tomorrow is the 2024 Norway Triathlon! Get ready to cheer on 130 individuals and teams as they compete for the coveted Norway Tri cowbell! A BIG thank you to .dog.timberworks for coming through with a trailer for the awards ceremony at the last minute- what an incredible sponsor! We will.
