It was an evening of Apres Ski fun (minus the skiing) with good food and great friends! We enjoyed raclette cheese, soft pretzels with mustard, charcuterie and gluhwein (mulled red wine). For dinner, we had cheese fondue, assorted German salads, roasted veggies and smoked sausages. We ended with two delicious desserts, Linzertorte and Apfelschnitte. ⛷️❄️🥨🧀🫕🍷

While most are getting ready for Christmas, we spent this evening celebrating the first BIrthday of a very special monkey. Grumpy Monkey came into Maggie’s life a year ago today and have been a daily fixture ever since. Maggie planned all the details, drew the invite, made the cupcakes and played host. 🙈🐵🎂

We enjoyed celebrating a newly minted seven year old today with a Lego themed party! We built, colored, stamped, ate and played. 🎉

Stop the traffic, Harrison is turning 4! We celebrated with a construction themed party with digging, building and painting. It was a hot day, but fun to celebrate together! 🚧👷‍♂️🏗🔨

December brings so many different traditions to celebrate the season. One of my favorite is recording new ornaments from the past year in our Christmas book. As most of our ornaments have a sentimental value, I note who made them or when they where purchased. When traveling, we often buy magnets or keychains to turn into small ornaments. Adding each ornament to the book is a great way to relive the highlights of the past year. 🎄🧳❤️

Poppy and Branch would have jumped right in if they had been invited to this 6th Birthday party. We headed to an inflatable bounce gym to celebrate with family and a small group of friends. Although it involved less party planning than I enjoy, the Birthday girl had a ball which is the important part.

It’s back to school week with new backpacks, first day outfits and excited students heading back to classrooms each day. We celebrated with our annual “Back to School” dinner. Our table was decorated with apples, German school cones filled with little goodies and new books (plus underwear) - the perfect way to start kindergarten and preschool in style. ✏️🍎📗

We enjoyed celebrating Harrison’s 3rd Birthday today with a small gathering for family. Despite the colder weather and earlier rain showers, we had a Dino-tastic time with our Dino dig party. Digging for prehistoric bones, uncovering Dino eggs, making fossils, Jurassic food and a cake so cute it was hard to cut in and eat. Thank you to all you helped us celebrate!

One of my goals for the year is to celebrate the little things that make up our every day life by printing more photos instead of just keeping them on my phone. I ordered two framed photos and ordered a photo book of 2020. I used a Project Life app so it was easy to layout pages on my phone whenever I had a few free minutes. Love how it came out! ❤️📸
