What a joy to bring so much late season color to Maryann's and Lauren's wedding day!

I won't soon forget all the rich and vibrant flowers that played such an important role in creating the magic inspired by the avant garden theme the couple had.

An autumnal wedding filled with color, texture, and movement.

Thank you to Maryann and Lauren for trusting me to create something special for your wedding day!

Also, I wouldn't have half the photos and videos I do if it weren't for .odyblooms. Lucy assisted me for the day, and she managed to capture so much of the design.

"Don't be afraid..."

To try new things.
Put yourself out there.
Be quietly confident.
To do what you're passionate about.
To be bold.
To trust yourself.

It's being unafraid that allows us to discover the heart of what we do. For me, that's embracing seasonality, local blooms, and sustainability. It's about being intentional.

Let's be intentional together! I'm still booking dates for 2026, so if you're getting married next year or a planner for a couple getting married next year, let's talk. Inquire here: https://www.hareandbearco.com/weddings

There’s nothing wrong with the traditional form of wearables. There’s a time and place for them. Part of my sustainability journey with Hare and Bear Co. is exploring different options for floral design. Occasionally an event or couple calls for a more innovative approach.

Floral wearables are some of the most fun and unique ways to express yourself. They’re more than accessories. I like to think of them as wearable art.

Our latest Floral Note is all about flower wearables. You can read it here: https://www.hareandbearco.com/floral-notes/fun-ways-to-wear-flowers-more-than-just-the-bouquet

Which one would you wear?

Some of the most gorgeous flowers came together to create a piece that perfectly reflected early October for A+A's ceremony.

I can't wait to share more from this piece and this day!

Thank you, as always, to the local flower farmers and growers who work tirelessly to provide seasonal beauty for me to create with: , , , , , , ,

As I’ve grown my business and become more involved in the floral industry, I’ve noticed something: People are being served a reality that doesn’t exist because of what they see online. Thanks to social media, so many people have a romanticized image of what it’s like to run a floral business, what it’s like to garden.

I call this the “Julie Andrews Effect.” You might actually believe in those moments the hills (or flower fields) were alive with the sound of music. The reality of running a sustainable floral business and the everyday gardening tasks are far less glamorous.

You can read more about my thoughts on this subject in my latest Floral Note on my website. https://www.hareandbearco.com/floral-notes/what-it-really-looks-like-to-run-a-sustainable-floral-business

Just as the seasons inform my design work, they shape the workshops I offer. This month and next, I'm looking forward to leading two classes that honor the fall.

🍂 Saturday, September 27th, 2-4pm: Woodland Wreath workshop. This hands-on class covers creating a moss wreath base and applying a collection of gathered elements along with dried flowers to give you a wreath you can enjoy for many months.

🍂 Saturday, October 25th, 2-4pm: Botanical Mask workshop. This class explores using flowers, foliage, and other elements of nature to create a botanical mask.

Both classes are offered at The Studio at Bowood Farms. You can read more about each offering and sign up on the Bowood website: https://bowoodfarms.com/collections/the-studio

Feel free to comment below or message me with any workshop questions you may have. I hope to see you there!

Playing with color and texture are two of my favorite things when it comes to bouquet design.

In my opinion, these are what make a bouquet standout. It doesn't matter if it's roses or zinnias; if the colors don't work together, the design falls flat.

All these beautiful blooms were locally grown (why, of course):

I’ve always held a deep-seated belief that flowers can bring people together, and this is especially true for weddings. I’m always so incredibly honored when people trust me to create something special for their big day.

What I love about flowers is the chance they provide to add memorable details in the most unexpected spaces. I’ve had the privilege of creating floral arrangements for all kinds of weddings—from the traditional to the whimsical—and I've discovered that many people overlook spaces that are perfect for additional wedding day flowers.

Our latest Floral Note is live, and it's all about flowers in unexpected places. https://www.hareandbearco.com/floral-notes/wedding-floral-the-5-most-overlooked-spaces-for-flowers
