"Sustainable". It's become somewhat of a buzz word in the industry.
Sustainability in floristry is being presented as a growing trend, making it increasingly difficult to tell if a floral designer is genuinely committed to sustainable practice. As climate change becomes an important issue for younger generations, like Gen Z, it seems to me that more floral businesses are marketing themselves as “eco-friendly,” and with that comes a lot of greenwashing.

A moment for an intentional tablescape.

If a centerpiece is the main character, a tablescape is the entire story woven together with thoughtful elements, all mindfully chosen to be cohesive.

Custom wreath pre-orders will be hitting our website this Friday!

I only make a limited number of custom wreaths each year, so you'll want to make sure you hop on our site by 10am (CST) on November 21.

Although I don't ship, plenty of people have ordered wreaths as gifts for their friends and family who are local. You'll be able to enter a message if you want a handwritten note delivered with your wreath.

What a joy to bring so much late season color to Maryann's and Lauren's wedding day!

There’s nothing wrong with the traditional form of wearables. There’s a time and place for them. Part of my sustainability journey with Hare and Bear Co. is exploring different options for floral design. Occasionally an event or couple calls for a more innovative approach.

Floral wearables are some of the most fun and unique ways to express yourself. They’re more than accessories. I like to think of them as wearable art.

As I’ve grown my business and become more involved in the floral industry, I’ve noticed something: People are being served a reality that doesn’t exist because of what they see online. Thanks to social media, so many people have a romanticized image of what it’s like to run a floral business, what it’s like to garden. ⁠
⁠
I call this the “Julie Andrews Effect.” You might actually believe in those moments the hills (or flower fields) were alive with the sound of music. The reality of running a sustainable floral business and the everyday gardening tasks are far less glamorous.⁠

I’ve always held a deep-seated belief that flowers can bring people together, and this is especially true for weddings. I’m always so incredibly honored when people trust me to create something special for their big day.
