THANK YOU to all of the people that helped make the 2024 St. Patrick’s Day Celebration a success! It takes so many volunteers, city departments, law enforcement, civic organizations, church groups, non-profit organizations and more to make all the events happen. The weather pretty much cooperated, except for the wind, but we were fortunate to have sunshine smiling down on us today. Thank you to Cheri McConnell, Shelly Campbell and Tammy Tienken for all the help in the chamber office! They kept things running smoothly when I would get a call and have to run an errand. I appreciate each and every one of you! THANK YOU EVERYONE for a wonderful celebration enjoyed by visitors and families from near and far. I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone, and if I did, I apologize!! Now, it’s time to go full force on Summerfest!

Handlebend started a little tradition last year: we built a special set of custom copper mugs. We’re hopeful that our little “pot-o-gold” will help do it’s part to build excitement around the big weekend. Each year, we’ll design a special edition set with new artwork. 2024's design is "Home Grown Luck". Because we're all lucky to have been raised on the edge of nowhere; and because the lifestyle it has taught us helps that "luck of the Irish" find us a bit more often.

We’re auctioning off one of the two exclusive sets. The second-annual design will go to the highest bidder. Proceeds are donated to the O'Neill Irish Walk Of Fame.

So, in the name of the good ol’ boys - let’s raise a bunch of money, and maybe a little hell. Cheers fellow Irishmen!

Due to the forecast for rain Wednesday and Thursday come down Tuesday, March 12 at 6 pm and help paint the World’s Largest Shamrock with the O’Neill Men’s Club. All ages are welcome!

The Painting of the Shamrock has now been moved to Tuesday. We will do the Irish Walk of Fame and the Chamber Awards on WEDNESDAY at 5:30 at the corner of 4th and Douglas, unless it is raining. If it's raining, the awards ceremonies will be held at Handlebend. Please listen to the radio for up to date information!!
